The control panel including a first user interface configured to control the washing machine, a second user interface configured to control the drying machine, a first start/pause button configured to receive an input for starting or pausing an operating of the washing machine, a second user interface configured to receive an input for controlling the drying machine, and a display configured to display operation information of the washing machine and operation information of the drying machine. The apparatus configured to control an operation of the drying machine in response to an input received through the second start/pause button while operation information of the washing machine is displayed on the display.
CLOTHES DRYER
A clothes dryer includes a cabinet having a front surface with an opening in the front surface; a drum inside the cabinet and configured so that objects to be dried are insertable through the opening to be received in the drum; a heat exchanger; and a door to open and close the opening, and including a ventilation member, wherein the door is configured so that, with the door being in an open state, the ventilation member covers at least a portion of the opening so that the ventilation member prevents objects in the drum from moving through the opening, air passing through the heat exchanger is discharged from the drum, through the ventilation member and the opening, to an outside of the cabinet, and outside air is supplied through the ventilation member and the opening to the heat exchanger.

A system or device can comprise a vacuum chamber comprising an housing defining an internal space having an internal pressure and an opening; a vacuum lid adapted to engage with the opening of the vacuum chamber; and a vacuum source connected to the vacuum chamber, wherein operation of the vacuum source reduces the internal pressure of the internal space of the vacuum chamber, wherein the lower internal pressure enhances the vaporization and removal of odors located on one or more articles disposed within the vacuum chamber.

A washing machine and a method for controlling the same are disclosed. The washing machine includes a plurality of washing devices, each of which includes a heater. Based on a target temperature of wash water heated by one heater of any one of the washing devices, the washing machine changes a target temperature setting environment of wash water heated by the remaining heater. The washing machine includes a first heater to heat wash water stored in a first tub, a second heater to heat wash water stored in a second tub, a control panel to provide a target temperature setting menu for setting a target temperature of the wash water stored in the first tub, and a controller to drive the first heater and the second heater. The controller changes the target temperature setting menu supplied from the control panel in response to the second target temperature.

The washing machine includes a display configured to display a washing mode, an inputter configured to receive a washing mode select command, a storage configured to store a selected washing mode, and a controller configured to allow a washing mode, which has the largest number of times selected during a predetermined number of times of washings, to be displayed on a first screen of the display, and in response to the number of the washing mode having the largest number of selection times being plural, configured to allow a washing mode, which is the last selected among the plurality of washing modes, to be displayed on the first screen of the display.
DRYER AIRFLOW CALIBRATION AND ALERTS
Detection of airflow conditions, such as blockage issues, in a dryer laundry appliance is provided. A current or instant calibration is performed utilizing an airflow model to infer, based on current or instant sensor data from sensors of the dryer laundry appliance, an estimated airflow for an exhaust air conduit of the dryer laundry appliance. The estimated airflow is compared to a baseline airflow previously inferred by the airflow model during a baseline calibration using previous sensor data from the sensors of the dryer laundry appliance. An alert is provided responsive to the estimated airflow being below a threshold level relative to the baseline airflow.

A laundry dryer includes a cabinet, a user interface that is operably coupled to the cabinet, a motor that is disposed within the cabinet and communicatively coupled with the user interface, and a controller that is communicatively coupled with the user interface and the motor, respectively. The controller includes a memory storage that includes a plurality of night routines. The controller is configured with a selectable time point and is further configured to select at least one of the plurality of night routines at the selectable time point.

A washing machine according to an aspect of the present disclosure includes a concentration sensing part configured to a sense a concentration of a specific component in air measured inside or outside the washing tub, a controller configured to switch the door and the washing tub to a safe mode based on the concentration of the specific component sensed by the concentration sensing part, and a release signal detector configured to detect a release signal for switching the door and the washing tub, which have been switched to the safe mode by the controller, back to a normal mode.
