ADJUSTED OPERATION OF A COMBINATION WASHER/DRYER APPLIANCE
A combination washer/dryer appliance may include a cabinet, a tub, a laundry basket, a heater, and a controller. The laundry basket may be rotatably mounted within the tub and define a chamber for receipt of articles for washing or drying. The controller may be operably coupled to the heater and configured to initiate a wash/dry operation. The wash/dry operation may include initiating a wash/dry operation for articles within the laundry basket. The wash/dry operation may include a wash cycle and a dry cycle. The wash/dry operation may further include determining completion of the wash cycle and directing a tumble cycle of the laundry basket in response to determining completion of the wash cycle. The wash/dry operation may still further include determining a user drying preference during the tumble cycle of the laundry basket and adjusting the wash/dry operation based on the determined user drying preference.
PREDICTION METHOD, RECORDING MEDIUM, PREDICTION SYSTEM, SERVER, AND DISPLAY DEVICE
A prediction method includes acquisition step, prediction step, determination step, and processing step. In acquisition step, parameters for a drying operation are acquired. In prediction step, based on the acquired parameters, a drying time required for the drying operation is predicted by a first prediction method. In determination step, when the restart of the drying operation is detected while the drying operation is stopped, whether the first prediction method performed in prediction step is applicable is determined. In processing step, when the first prediction method is determined to be applicable, the first prediction method is continued and when the first prediction method is determined not to be applicable, predetermined processing is performed.

METHOD FOR CONTROLLING LAUNDRY TREATMENT APPARATUS
A method for controlling a laundry treatment apparatus is disclosed. The laundry treatment apparatus includes an upper treatment device and a lower treatment device. The upper treatment device includes a drying drum in which target laundry to be dried is placed, an upper driver to rotate the drying drum, a circulation passage unit through which air flows into or out of the drying drum, a heat exchanger to dehumidify and heat the air, and a steam generator to supply steam to the drying drum. The lower treatment device includes a tub to store wash water therein, a washing drum provided in the tub so that target laundry to be washed is put into the washing machine and the laundry is washed and dried, a tub heater provided in the tub to heat the wash water, and a lower driver to rotate the washing drum. The method for controlling the laundry treatment apparatus includes performing, by the lower treatment device, a washing course including a water supply step, a washing (rinsing) step, and a dehydration step, and performing, by the upper treatment device, a drying course including a hot air supply step, a fan operation step, and a dryness sensing step, wherein the lower treatment device performs the washing course by changing a configuration of at least one of an operation of the tub heater, an execution time of the washing course, and an operation of the lower driver according to a progress state of the drying course, thereby performing the washing course.
SYSTEM FOR AUTOMATICALLY WASHING AND DRYING A REUSABLE DIAPER
A system of washing and drying a reusable diaper including a housing defining a wash cavity configured to drain into a toilet bowl, reservoirs for water and detergent, a rack to retain the reusable diaper, a spray nozzle oriented toward the rack. Additionally, the system includes a brush head configured to dislodge waste, a fluid distribution system configured to distribute water from a water supply and detergent from the detergent reservoir, onto the reusable diaper via the spray nozzle, and a drying element configured to dry the reusable diaper retained on the rack. The system can include various configurations of frames to support the housing and allow access to a household water supply.

AUTOMATIC SELF-CLEAN CYCLE PRIOR TO DRYING CYCLE IN A LAUNDRY APPLIANCE
A laundry appliance includes a drum rotatably mounted within a cabinet and defining a chamber configured for receiving a load of clothes, a door pivotally mounted to the cabinet for providing selective access to the chamber, and a user interface for controlling operation of the laundry appliance. A controller is configured to monitor the number of wash cycles that have occurred in the laundry appliance since the last self-clean cycle. Once the laundry appliance reaches a predetermined number of wash cycles without an intervening self-clean cycle, an automatic self-clean cycle is initiated upon the next selection of a drying cycle by the user, wherein the drying cycle provides an indication that the chamber is empty of article of laundry and that the user has no further immediate washing needs. In these circumstances, the controller is configured to reconfigure the selected drying cycle into a combination cycle including a self-clean cycle which is automatically followed by the desired drying cycle.

FOREIGN SUBSTRATE COLLECTOR FOR A LAUNDRY APPLIANCE
A laundry appliance includes a cabinet. A door is operably coupled to the cabinet. A drum is disposed within the cabinet proximate to the door. A lifter is disposed within and operably coupled to the drum. A foreign substrate collector is disposed within the lifter.
Device for handling laundry, and control method thereof
The present invention relates to a device for handling laundry and a control method thereof, wherein the device for handling laundry, equipped with a plurality of washing units that wash independently of one another, sets a washing course in order that, when washing is being carried out by a first washing unit and a second washing unit at the same time, a specific operation is not carried out by the first washing unit and the second washing unit at the same time, the washing course being set by combining the washing courses of the plurality of washing units, and thus, operational delays resulting from simultaneous operation are prevented, vibrations are reduced, momentary increases in power consumption are prevented, protecting the device for handling laundry and improving energy consumption efficiency.
