Filtration Filter And Method For Producing The Same
A filtration filter for filtering out impurities has a support with a fibrous structure. A filtration membrane is integrally formed inside the support. The filtration membrane includes a porous resin and is capable of filtering out impurities. The filtration membrane includes a porous resin membrane having an average pore size of 0.026 μm and an opening ratio of 6% to 30%.
DYE RANGE AND PROCESSES, AND YARNS AND FABRICS PRODUCED THEREFROM
The invention generally relates to fabric dyeing, such as fabric dyeing using indigo or sulphur dyes. A process is provided which provides a dyed yarn having reduced dye penetration and a white core. The process involves modification of existing sulfur dye ranges to more efficiently and in an environmentally improved method produce dyed fabrics. The modification involves one or more of i) using of a barrier compound to subsequent dye applications; ii) performing a scouring stage without a caustic agent; iii) bypassing scouring and/or scour rising; iv) using sodium bicarbonate to control the pH of dye tanks; v) reducing the dye concentration and increasing the number of dye vats; and vi) adding a sizing stage to the dye range. The invention also is directed to yarns dyed on dye ranges through use of the process, and fabrics formed from the dyed yarns.

Agent for imparting anti-bacterial/anti-fungal properties, fiber processing agent, and production method for anti-bacterial/anti-fungal fiber
An object of the present invention is to make it possible that a pyridine antibacterial/antifungal agent is dispersed stably in a liquid for appropriate impartation of the pyridine antibacterial/antifungal agent to fibers, and that when fibers are processed with the agent which is mixed with various other treating agents such as dyes and softeners, there is no negative influences on the process of the fibers for imparting antibacterial/antifungal properties. An antibacterial/antifungal properties-imparting agent contains a pyridine antibacterial/antifungal agent; a modified polysaccharide having reduced hydroxyl groups; and a wetting agent; but does not contain a surfactant. After applying the antibacterial/antifungal properties-imparting agent to fibers, the fibers undergo a heating process.

Methods to increase structural performance, strength and durability of fabric-reinforced composite materials by pre-stressing
Methods to increase structural performance, strength, and durability of textile-reinforced composite materials are provided. The textile reinforcement may be knitted, for example, in a flat bed weft knitting machine. The method may include pre-stressing a textile reinforcement preform by applying tension. A polymeric precursor may be introduced to the pre-stressed textile reinforcement preform. The polymeric precursor may then be cured or consolidated, followed by releasing of the applied tension to form the composite article comprising polymer and the pre-stressed textile reinforcement. In other aspects, a composite article is provided that has a pre-stressed textile reinforcement structure and a cured polymer. The textile reinforcement may be a knitted, lightweight, seamless, unitary structure. The knitted reinforcement structure may have distinct first and second knitted regions with different levels of pre-stress, thus providing enhanced control over strength, rigidity, and flexibility of the composite article.
