Sheet molding compound and carbon fiber composite material molded article
Provided is a sheet molding compound having excellent thick portion-molding properties that can inhibit the occurrence of internal cracks even during the molding of a thick portion and enables a carbon fiber composite material molded article to be excellently released from a die. Also provided is a carbon fiber composite material molded article. The sheet molding compound of the present invention contains a fiber substrate (A) containing carbon fiber and a thermosetting resin composition (B), in which an average fiber length of the carbon fiber is 5 mm or more, and a volumetric molding shrinkage rate of the thermosetting resin composition (B) is 0.5% or more and 4.4% or less. Furthermore, the carbon fiber composite material molded article of the present invention has a thick portion having a thickness of 10 mm or more, in which the thick portion is formed of a cured material of the sheet molding compound of the present invention.

A surface modifying composition for modifying a surface of a formed product made of high-density polyethylene or ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene, the composition comprising: a copolymer having a unit of a first monomer having an aliphatic group having 10 or more carbon atoms and a unit of a second monomer having any of an amino group, an epoxy group, and an ether group, and a solvent having a boiling point of 100° C. or more and being at least one selected from the group consisting of a halogen-based solvent, an alkane solvent, a cycloalkane solvent, a dicycloalkane solvent, an aromatic solvent, and a nitro-based solvent.

The cellulose fiber contains the cellulose II having a content of an imidazolium salt of 1% by mass or less.

An organic fine particle capable of adhering to a substrate under a state having a particle shape, wherein the organic fine particle, when adhered to a substrate, exhibits water-repellency on the substrate, and the organic fine particle is formed of a fluorine-free polymer. Also disclosed is an organic fine particle containing: (1) a hydrophobic monomer which has one ethylenically unsaturated double bond and at least one hydrocarbon group having 3-40 carbon atoms; or (2) a polymer which has a repeating unit formed from a (meth)acrylic monomer having a polydimethylsiloxane group. Also disclosed is a method for producing the organic fine particle and a water-repellent composition which is an aqueous dispersion of the organic fine particle. Also disclosed is a textile product and method for treating the same which includes applying a treatment liquid containing the water-repellent composition to the textile product.

FIBER BUNDLING AGENT, FIBER MATERIAL, FORMING MATERIAL, AND FORMED PRODUCT
To provide a fiber bundling agent containing: a vinyl ester resin (A) having an alkoxy polyoxyalkylene structure, a urethane bond, a (meth)acryloyl group, and an epoxy group; and an aqueous medium, in which the vinyl ester resin (A) has an epoxy equivalent of 3,500 g/eq to 11,000 g/eq. Since the fiber bundling agent is excellent in bundling properties and in interfacial shear strength between fiber resins, the fiber bundling agent is suitably used for production of a fiber material capable of imparting excellent strength to a molded product.
