WATER/OIL REPELLENT COMPOSITION, METHOD FOR ITS PRODUCTION, AND ARTICLE
To provide a water/oil repellent composition whereby it is possible to obtain an article which is excellent in each of water-repellency, oil-repellency, washing durability, heavy rain durability and texture, a method for producing said composition, and an article which is excellent in each of water-repellency, oil-repellency, washing durability, heavy rain durability and texture. The water/oil repellent composition comprises a copolymer having units based on a monomer (a), units based on a monomer (b) and units based on a monomer (c), and a liquid medium. Monomer (a): a compound represented by (Z—Y).sub.nX (Z: a C.sub.1-6 perfluoroalkyl group, etc.; Y: a divalent organic group, etc.; n: 1 or 2; X: a polymerizable unsaturated group). Monomer (b): a (meth)acrylate having no polyfluoroalkyl group and having an alkyl group with at least 20 carbon atoms. Monomer (c): a compound represented by CH.sub.2═CR.sup.1C(O)O—[(C.sub.2H.sub.4O).sub.a(C.sub.4H.sub.8O).sub.b]—H (R.sup.1: a hydrogen atom or a methyl group, and a/b=1 to 3).
WATER/OIL REPELLENT COMPOSITION, METHOD FOR ITS PRODUCTION, AND ARTICLE
To provide a water/oil repellent composition whereby it is possible to obtain an article which is excellent in each of water repellency, oil repellency and heavy rain durability, a method for its production, and an article which is excellent in each of water repellency, oil repellency, heavy rain durability and texture. The water/oil repellent composition comprises a copolymer containing structural units based on a monomer (a), structural units based on a monomer (b) and structural units based on a monomer (c). Here, the monomer (a) is a compound represented by (Z—Y).sub.nX (wherein Z is a C.sub.1-6 perfluoroalkyl group, etc.; Y is a bivalent organic group, etc.; n is 1 or 2; and X is a polymerizable unsaturated group). The monomer (b) is a (meth)acrylate having no polyfluoroalkyl group and having an alkyl group with at least 12 carbon atoms. The monomer (c) is a monomer having a poly(oxypolyfluoroalkylene) chain.

To provide a water/oil repellent composition whereby it is possible to obtain an article which is excellent in each of water repellency, oil repellency and heavy rain durability, a method for its production, and an article which is excellent in each of water repellency, oil repellency, heavy rain durability and texture. The water/oil repellent composition comprises a copolymer containing structural units based on a monomer (a), structural units based on a monomer (b) and structural units based on a monomer (c). Here, the monomer (a) is a compound represented by (Z—Y).sub.nX (wherein Z is a C.sub.1-6 perfluoroalkyl group, etc.; Y is a bivalent organic group, etc.; n is 1 or 2; and X is a polymerizable unsaturated group). The monomer (b) is a (meth)acrylate having no polyfluoroalkyl group and having an alkyl group with at least 12 carbon atoms. The monomer (c) is a monomer having a poly(oxypolyfluoroalkylene) chain.
Fluorine-free water-repellent composition
Composition, comprising at least components (A) and (B) and optionally at least one of components (C) to (E): (A) polyacrylate obtained in the polymerisation of components (M1) CH.sub.2═CR.sup.3COO—R.sup.1 with (M2) CH.sub.2═CR.sup.3COO—R.sup.2 and optionally (M3) CH.sub.2═CR.sup.3—X—R.sup.4
(B) wax
(C) blocked isocyanate
(D) organic polysiloxane;
(E) melamine resin;
wherein
R.sup.1 is a residue containing from 1 to 8 carbon atoms;
R.sup.2 is a residue containing from 9 to 40 carbon atoms;
R.sup.3=H, CH.sub.3, C.sub.2H.sub.5;
X=COO, CONH
R.sup.4=glycidyl or CH.sub.2(CH.sub.2).sub.n—OR.sup.5, wherein n is an integer in the range of from 1-10 and R.sup.5 is H or a residue containing from 1 to 6 carbon atoms;

Composition, comprising at least components (A) and (B) and optionally at least one of components (C) to (E): (A) polyacrylate obtained in the polymerisation of components (M1) CH.sub.2═CR.sup.3COO—R.sup.1 with (M2) CH.sub.2═CR.sup.3COO—R.sup.2 and optionally (M3) CH.sub.2═CR.sup.3—X—R.sup.4
(B) wax
(C) blocked isocyanate
(D) organic polysiloxane;
(E) melamine resin;

R.sup.1 is a residue containing from 1 to 8 carbon atoms;
R.sup.2 is a residue containing from 9 to 40 carbon atoms;

Composition, comprising at least components (A) and (B) and optionally at least one of components (C) to (E): (A) a polyacrylate obtained in the polymerisation of monomers (M1) CH.sub.2CR.sup.3COOR.sup.1 with (M2) CH.sub.2CR.sup.3COOR.sup.2 and optionally (M3) CH.sub.2CR.sup.6COOYR.sub.F (M4) CH.sub.2CR.sup.3XR.sup.4; (B) a wax; (C) a blocked isocyanate; (D) an organic polysiloxane; (E) a melamine resin.

Composition, comprising at least components (A) and (B) and optionally at least one of components (C) to (E): (A) a polyacrylate obtained in the polymerisation of monomers (M1) CH.sub.2CR.sup.3COOR.sup.1 with (M2) CH.sub.2CR.sup.3COOR.sup.2 and optionally (M3) CH.sub.2CR.sup.6COOYR.sub.F (M4) CH.sub.2CR.sup.3XR.sup.4; (B) a wax; (C) a blocked isocyanate; (D) an organic polysiloxane; (E) a melamine resin.
