DRYER SHEET FOR INCORPORATING ULTRAVIOLET RADIATION PROTECTION AND ANTIMICROBIAL PROTECTION INTO CLOTHING

A dryer sheet for incorporating ultraviolet radiation protection and antimicrobial protection into clothing has a carrier substrate, a quantity of dipalmethyl hydroxyethylammonium methosulfate, a fatty acid, and clay, and a quantity of zinc oxide particles each having a surface treated with an acid polymer with the acid polymer binding to the surfaces of the zinc oxide particles.

Flameproofing agent for fibers

A flameproofing agent for fibers which has high flameproofness and excellent physical properties (light resistance, heat resistance, texture), a process for manufacturing a flameproof fiber product and a flameproof fiber product. The flameproofing agent comprises an organic phosphorus compound (component A) represented by the following formula (1). ##STR00001##
(In the above formula, X.sup.1 and X.sup.2 are the same or different and each an aromatic substituted alkyl group represented by the following formula (2).)
private use character ParenopenstALprivate use character Parenclosestprivate use character ParenopenstAr).sub.n(2)
(In the above formula, AL is a branched or linear aliphatic hydrocarbon group having 1 to 5 carbon atoms, Ar is a phenyl group, naphthyl group or anthryl group all of which may have a substituent, n is an integer of 1 to 3, and Ar may be bonded to any carbon atom contained in AL.)

Flame resistant textile

A flame resistant textile is provided. The textile is a sateen weave fabric containing cellulosic fibers, where the sateen weave fabric has a thickness of at least 19.5 mils, a thickness of at least 25 mils after 3 home washes at 120? F., an air permeability of at least 60 cfm, and a weight of less than about 7 oz/yd.sup.2. The sateen weave fabric also contains a treatment, where the treatment contains a tetramethylhydroxy phosphonium salt or its condensate and chemical selected from the group consisting of urea, guanidines, guanyl urea, glycoluril, and polyamines. When the sateen weave fabric to which the treatment has been applied has been heat-cured and oxidized at least a portion of the cellulosic fibers have a pentavalent phosphate compound polymerized therein. The method for producing the flame resistant textile is also provided.
