Active ingredient preparation for a steam generator

An active ingredient preparation may be used in steam generators that includes at least one specific carrier material and at least one specific active ingredient. The active ingredient preparation may be used together with steam for steaming textiles. A functional element for a hand-held steam generator for treating textiles may include the active ingredient preparation in or on a carrier element. Finally, a method for steaming textiles may include or consist of providing a steam generator having a functional element, generating steam in the steam generator, bringing the steam into contact with the active ingredient preparation, and then applying the steam, which contains the active ingredient preparation, to a textile to be steamed.

ANTIMICROBIAL COMPOSITIONS

Disclosed is a method for formulating an antimicrobial composition. The method comprises treating a quaternary ammonium salt (QAS) in a reaction mixture. The QAS is one or more of didecyl dimethyl ammonium chloride, dioctyl dimethyl ammonium chloride, ethyl benzyl dimethyl ammonium chloride, cetyl dimethyl ammonium bromide, and dioctyl dimethyl ammonium sulphate, octyl decyl dimethyl ammonium chloride, pyridium QUAT, and a combination thereof. The method further comprises reacting the QAS with one or more binders in the reaction mixture. The binder is a reactive polymeric compound, an aqueous aliphatic polyurethane emulsion, an aqueous acrylic polymer, a modified acrylic polymer, a methacrylate polymer, a reactive polyhexamethylene biguanide (PHMB), an aqueous polydiallyl dimethyl ammonium chloride (DADMAC) polymer, or a certain combination thereof. Finally, the method comprises stabilizing the reaction mixture with one or more stabilizing agent. The stabilizing agent is selected from a group of glycol.

MAKING FABRICS EASIER TO IRON

The aim is to reduce the wrinkling tendency of a cotton textile or otherwise cellulosic textile. This was achieved by bringing the textile into contact with an amino-group-containing polymer having carboxylic-acid-group-bearing substituents and optionally subsequently ironing the textile.

Method for ease of ironing

A method for reducing force needed for ironing a fabric comprising laundering the fabric with a composition comprising a linear polyether having a weight average molecular weight less than 5000 that is terminated with —N—(—CH.sub.2—CH(OH)—CH.sub.2—Cl).sub.2, wherein the linear polyether is deposited on the fabric and reduces the force needed for ironing.

Aqueous spray composition

An aqueous fabric spray composition, comprising: a. 1-10 w.t. % silicone, wherein the silicone is in the form of an emulsion b. 0.01-1.5 w.t. % setting polymer.

Non-fluorinated coating and finish agents

The present invention relates to a coating composition with 10 to 100% by weight of a non-fluorinated compound mixture, which comprises at least one compound b and at least one compound a, c, or d: a) alkali metal salt of poly(meth)acrylic acid, alkali metal salt of poly(meth)acrylic acid copolymer, ammonium compound or amine salt of poly(meth)acrylic acid, ammonium compound or amine salt of poly(meth)acrylic acid copolymer, or mixtures thereof; b) silicone polyether, alkali metal salt of silicone polyether carboxylate, ammonium compound or amine salt of silicone polyether carboxylate, or mixtures thereof; c) salt of hydrolyzed α-olefin/maleic anhydride copolymer, salt of esterified α-olefin/maleic anhydride copolymer, α-olefin/maleic anhydride copolymer amic acid resin or salt thereof, or mixtures thereof; or d) polycarboxylate calcium sequestrants or mixtures thereof. Such coatings exhibit improved soil and stain cleaning performance.

KNITTED FABRIC AND MAKING METHOD THEREFOR, DEVICE USED, AND CLOTHING MADE THEREFROM

Disclosed is a knitted fabric containing natural fibers and a making method therefor, a liquid ammonia device and a shirt made from the knitted fabric, belonging to the fields of fabrics and clothing. The making method for the knitted fabric containing natural fibers comprises forming yarns containing natural fibers into a knitted fabric by a fabric-knitting method; and performing functional finishing including a liquid ammonia finishing procedure on the knitted fabric. In the liquid ammonia finishing procedure, liquid ammonia impregnation is performed on the knitted fabric at least twice under the condition of mechanical restraint by a guide roller set, thus preventing the knitted fabric from edge curling due to strong shrinkage in the liquid ammonia impregnation process, enabling the knitted fabric to be subjected to sufficient and uniform liquid ammonia impregnation, ensuring the liquid ammonia impregnation effect and controlling the shrinkage rate of the knitted fabric; and through subsequent shaping and finishing procedures, the color stability of the knitted fabric is further improved, the shrinkage rate after washing is reduced, and the crease-resistant performance and resilience performance are improved. The shirt has a low shrinkage rate after washing, good stiffness performance, good resilience performance, color stability, high strength and good crease-resistant performance.

IMPROVEMENTS IN AND RELATING TO GARMENT REVIVAL

The present invention is concerned with a garment revival product comprising: a garment revival composition; and a hand-held spray device which is manually operable to produce a spray of said composition; said composition comprising one or more fabric tactility modifiers.
