AIRLAID NONWOVEN
Provided is a composite sheet material having a first layer and an airlaid nonwoven layer overlying the first layer wherein the airlaid nonwoven layer includes a blend of bamboo derived staple fibers and non-cellulose staple fibers, and in which the airlaid nonwoven layer includes a first surface disposed towards, and thermally bonded, to a surface of the first layer, and a second surface defining an outer surface of the composite sheet material.
ARTIFICIAL LEATHER PRODUCT AND PROCESS FOR PRODUCING SAME
This invention relates to an artificial leather having a laminated structure and a process for producing such product. The artificial leather comprises a non-woven matt formed from bast fibres, more particularly fibres obtained from hemp plants. The fibres in the non-woven matt are impregnated with a polymer, such as a polyester or polyurethane. The artificial leather includes the non-woven matt as a discrete bottom layer in a laminated structure also comprising a discrete intermediate layer of a binder material and a discrete top layer of a polymer coating material.
FIBER BASKET WITH WATER RETAINING LINER
A system and associated method include coconut fiber liners used in hanging wire flower baskets. The coco fiber basket liner may create a water seal in the liner by over-coating a portion of the inner liner with a unique blend of all-natural rubber latex, then molding the liners into shape. The added latex coating may seal in and hold water in the bottom portion of the liner. This feature may keep the soil moist while still allowing air to flow thru the plants. The moisture and airflow may help promote healthier plants and roots and require less watering. Excess water beyond the intended amount may drain out thru the permeable side walls of the coco liner.

COMPRESSION GARMENT ENHANCED WITH HEMP FIBERS
Hemp fibers may be disposed throughout or in selected portions of a compression garment (e.g., glove, posture support garment, pants, leggings, tights, shorts, long sleeve top, short sleeve top, sock, etc.). The hemp fibers deployed in the compression garment enhance the durability of the compression garment, and imparts various advantageous properties (e.g., anti-microbial or anti-bacterial, mildew-resistant, odor reduction, moisture wicking, etc.) to the compression garment, enabling the compression garment to be provided with comfort and style.
System for and method of manufacturing hemp products
A manufactured hemp product comprising a plurality of adhesively bonded and pressed hemp strands where the majority of the hemp strands are of generally the same length and comprise a naturally-occurring, generally elongate internal structure extending generally along one axis of the strand that has been at least partially laterally broken and at least permeated by an adhesive. The hemp strands are oriented roughly parallel to one another along their length. The manufactured hemp product comprises an amount of adhesive between about 5% to about 49% by weight. The manufactured hemp product can be used as a wood substitute in terms of appearance and performance. The manufactured hemp products may have aesthetic and structural qualities that are suitable for high traffic, high visibility applications such as boards, blocks, beams, panels, flooring, furniture, building materials and other wood products.
BIODEGRADABLE SYNTHETIC TURF YARN
The invention is directed to a synthetic turf yarn, to a method of preparing said synthetic turf yarn, to artificial turf comprising said synthetic turf yarn, and to a method of preparing artificial turf.
The synthetic turf yarn of the invention comprises an aliphatic polyester and a copolyester of butanediol, terephthalic acid and a linear aliphatic dicarboxylic acid selected from the group consisting of succinic acid, adipic acid, and sebacic acid.
MULTIFUNCTIONAL HIGH-STRENGTH COMPOSITE FABRIC COATING AGENT, COATING, METHOD FOR PREPARING THE SAME, AND APPLICATION THEREOF
A multifunctional high-strength composite fabric coating agent, a coating, a method for preparing the same and an application thereof are provided. The fabric coating agent includes a resin, a reinforcing agent with a reactive group, a bifunctional dispersing agent, a leveling agent, a film forming agent, a softening agent, an antibacterial agent, a solvent, and the like. The reinforcing agent is modified such that it has active functional groups of OH and NH.sub.3. The fabric coating agent is not only easy to apply, fast to react and stabilize, but also suitable for a fabric surface of any material. A treated fabric has high tensile-breaking strength, excellent tearing and bursting performance, good waterproof-and-moisture-permeability and antibacterial performance, and high adhesion. It can be repeatedly knife coated, roll coated, calendared, or dipped. The method is not only mature in technology and low in production cost, but also suitable for large-scale application.
LAYER COMPOSITE FOR USE AS AN IMITATION LEATHER
A layer composite for use as an imitation leather is provided. Also provided is a garment including the layer composite and a method of manufacturing the layer composite.
DURABLE NATURAL FABRIC PRODUCTS
A natural fabric or textile product is coated and protected with a waterproofing composition comprising a crosslinking polyvinyl acetate (XPVAc or x-PVAc) emulsion polymer or adhesive applied and cured as a first coating layer or a primer and a coating layer of acrylic, alkyd, asphalt, emulsion polymer isocyanate, epoxy, lacquer, latex, polyurethane, urethane, or vinyl ester coated over the cured crosslinking polyvinyl acetate as a second coating layer or a topcoat. The natural fabric product is fabricated by weaving, knitting or felting the fibers, yarns or threads of vegetable or plant fibers from cotton, sisal, kenaf, hemp, jute, flax, reed, sugarcane, ramie, henequen, raffia, nettle, milkweeds, palm, coir, grass, Spanish moss, New Zealand flax, kapok, sugarcane, bamboo, or wood, or those of the protein fibers from wool, silk, spider threads, sea silk, or the combination thereof.
