URETHANE RESIN AQUEOUS DISPERSION, SYNTHETIC LEATHER, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SYNTHETIC LEATHER
A task to be achieved by the present invention is to provide a urethane water dispersion which is unlikely to soak the substrate well, and which has excellent peel strength and excellent prompt releasability. The present invention provides a urethane resin water dispersion containing a urethane resin (A), water (B), and a crosslinking agent (C), wherein the urethane resin (A) has a viscosity at 50° C. in the range of from 15,000 to 34,000 Pa.Math.s, a viscosity at 100° C. in the range of from 1,000 to 10,000 Pa.Math.s, and a viscosity at 150° C. in the range of from 100 to 1,300 Pa.Math.s. Further, the present invention provides a synthetic leather having a bonding layer formed from the urethane resin water dispersion. Further, the present invention provides a method for producing the synthetic leather.
Washable Carpet Tile
This invention relates to tufted floorcovering articles that are washable in commercial, industrial, and/or residential washing machines. In particular, this invention relates to modular carpet tiles that are constructed in such a way as to withstand exposure to at least one wash cycle in an automatic washing machine. The carpet tiles are designed to be soiled, washed, and re-used, thereby providing ideal end-use applications such as entryway floorcovering articles. A further advantage includes the ability to print advertising logos on the carpet tiles and easily change out the advertising logos as desired. Both features of the carpet tile of the present invention are achievable, at least in part, because the surface of the tile that contacts the floor does not require any type of adhesive in order to use the carpet tile for its intended function.
Floor mat with hidden base component
This invention relates to a washable multi-component magnetic floor mat with a hidden base component. The floor mat contains a textile component and a base component. The textile component and the base component are attached to one another by magnetic attraction. The magnetic attraction is provided by incorporation of magnetic particles in both the textile and base components. The textile component is designed to be soiled, washed, and re-used, thereby providing ideal end-use applications in areas such as building entryways. The present invention eliminates the need to wash the base component of the floor mat which results in environmental, cost and labor conservation. Alignment and deployment of the textile component with the base component in an efficient manner is also described herein.
CELLULOSIC FLOORCOVERINGS AND APPLICATIONS THEREOF
In one aspect, cellulosic floor coverings having desirable flammability resistance are provided. Briefly, a floor covering described herein comprises cellulosic fibers or cellulose-based fibers and fluoropolymer adhered to surfaces of the cellulosic fibers or cellulose-based fibers in an amount sufficient for the floor covering to conform with or pass flammability testing with a methenamine-timed burning tablet according to Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) Standard FF 2-70.
Cross-linkable thermoplastic polyurethanes
The invention provides a cross-linkable mixture of thermoplastic polyurethanes and ethylenic unsaturated compounds and thermoset materials that can obtained therefrom. The invention also provides application of the cross-linkable mixtures and processes in a solvent-less coating process.
Surface and Edge Attachment for Installation of Multi-Component Floor Mat
This invention relates to a washable multi-component floor mat. The floor mat contains a textile component and a base component. The textile component and the base component are attached to one another by at least one surface attraction means and at least one edge attachment means. The textile component is designed to be soiled, washed, and re-used, thereby providing ideal end-use applications in areas such as building entryways. The present invention eliminates the need to wash the base component of the floor mat which results in environmental, cost and labor conservation.
Impregnation system and method for impregnating a textile fabric for composite components
An impregnation system and a method for impregnating a textile fabric for composite components are described. A matrix 2 can be applied to a textile fabric 1 in such a way that the matrix 2 penetrates it at least partially and/or at least on one side. A first and a second endless belt 1 each designed as a belt loop are provided for the impregnation system. Between the first 4 and the second belt loop 5, the textile fabric 1 can guided on the mutually facing surfaces 6 of the belt loops and can be impregnated there. The deflection rollers 7 are provided in the respective belt loop 4, 5 of the respective endless belts at the deflection areas, with at least one roller being adjustable in the direction of the mutually facing surfaces 6 of the belt loops 4, 5. By adjusting the rollers 8 in the y direction, the wrap angle and thus the pressure exerted on the textile fabric during impregnation is controlled.
COATED BARRIER FABRIC FOR A REUSABLE MEDICAL PRODUCT
A coated barrier fabric for use in a reusable medical product (e.g., surgical gown, surgical drape, etc.) is provided and has two woven or knitted plies. Each of the two plies are coated on one side with a non-fluorine containing polymer and retain similar comfort and feel of uncoated woven or knitted fabrics. The coated sides of the plies face each other (i.e., inwardly) in the interior of the barrier fabric. Because of the orientation of the plies, the coated sides of the plies can come into direct contact with and move freely against each other within the interior of the barrier fabric. The coating on each of the plies is protected from exterior and environmental factors, including repeated institutional laundering/autoclave cycles, that could abrade and degrade the coating. Thus, the useful life of the reusable medical product including the barrier fabric is extended.
Multi-layered sheet suitable as floor or wall covering exhibiting a three-dimensional relief and a decorative image
The present invention relates to a multi-layered sheet suitable as floor or wall covering exhibiting a three-dimensional surface relief and a decorative image, comprising: i. a support layer having an upper surface and a lower surface; ii. a foamed layer having an upper surface and a lower surface, the lower surface of the foamed layer provided adjacent, and adherent to the upper surface of the support layer, the upper surface of the foamed layer comprising a discontinuous chemically embossed relief pattern, wherein the discontinuous chemically embossed relief pattern comprises indentations formed by single or stacked dots of a digitally printed material comprising a foam inhibiting agent; and optionally iii. a decorative layer adhered to the upper surface of the foamed layer; and optionally iv. at least one wear resistant layer provided adjacent and adhered to the decorative layer; and optionally v. a backing layer provided adjacent and adhered to the lower surface of the support layer.
