Artificial Leather and Production Method Therefor
Provided is an artificial leather that has texture (stiffness), a luxuriant feel (dispersibility of fiber bundles), and a slick feel (resin clusters of appropriate size) and can be used suitably as a seat cover material or interior design material for interiors, cars, airplanes, railway cars, etc. and garment accessory products. This artificial leather comprises a fiber sheet and a polyurethane resin and is characterized in that: the fiber sheet comprises at least a fiber layer (A) that forms a first outer surface of the artificial leather; the k-nearest neighbor distance proportion (k=9, radius r=20 μm) between cross-sections of single fibers configuring the fiber layer (A) in a thickness direction cross-section of the artificial leather is 10-80%; the cross-sectional polyurethane resin area ratio in a thickness direction cross-section of the fiber layer (A) is 10-30%; and the standard deviation of the cross-sectional polyurethane resin area ratio in a thickness direction cross-section of the fiber layer (A) is 25% or less.
NAPPED ARTIFICIAL LEATHER
A napped artificial leather includes: a non-woven fabric that is art entangled body of ultrafine fibers, and an elastic polymer applied into the non-woven fabric; where the napped artificial leather has, on at least one side thereof, a napped surface formed by napping the ultrafine fibers. Each of the ultrafine fibers is art ultrafine fiber having a fineness of 0.5 dtex or less, and a tensile strength of 6 to 9 mN. A plurality of the ultrafine fibers form a fiber bundle, and the ultrafine fibers that form the fiber bundle are not constrained by the elastic polymer in a region of the napped artificial leather other than a surface layer portion. A content ratio of the elastic polymer is 16 to 40 mass %, and the napped artificial leather has an apparent density of 0.38 g/cm.sup.3 or more.
Method for the Production of a Microporous Polymer Coated Fabric
The present inventions relates to a low solvent based method for the production of a microporous polymer coated fibrous fabric, comprising the steps of contacting the fabric with a composition dispersed in an aqueous medium thereby coating the fabric with the composition, and contacting the coated with a coagulation solution and drying of the fabric, crosslinking the polymer resin. Furthermore, the present invention relates to a cleaning cloth comprising a microporous polymer coating obtained by the method.

The flexible sheet-like material comprises a textile layer, which is coated at least on one side with a functional layer which is permeable to gas but impermeable to the matrix material, acting as a barrier layer for the matrix material, and is produced by coating the textile layer directly with a foam or a paste.
NAPPED ARTIFICIAL LEATHER AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SAME
Disclosed is a napped artificial leather napped including: a non-woven fabric that is an entangle body of ultrafine fibers; and an elastic polymer impregnated into the non-woven fabric, the napped artificial leather having, at least on one side thereof, a napped surface formed by napping the ultrafine fibers, wherein the ultrafine fibers contain 0.5 mass % or more of a pigment (A), the elastic polymer contains 0 to 0.01 mass % of a pigment (B), and the ultrafine fibers and the elastic polymer are undyed; the napped surface has a lightness L* value of 25 or less in a color coordinate space (L*a*b* color space); and a ratio of an area occupied by the elastic polymer, observed on the napped surface, to a total area of an area occupied by the ultrafine fibers and the area occupied by the elastic polymer is 0.5% or less.
SHEET-SHAPED ARTICLE AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREFOR
A purpose of the present invention is to provide a sheet-shaped article and a manufacturing method therefor, said sheet-shaped article demonstrating both a supple texture and superior wear resistance. In order to achieve this purpose, a sheet-shaped article according to the present invention is a sheet-shaped article that includes, in a fibrous base material, a polymer elastic body with a hydrophilic group, said fibrous base material comprising extremely fine fibers with an average individual fiber fineness of 0.1 μm to 10 μm, wherein the sheet-shaped article has N-acylurea bonding or isourea bonding within the polymer elastic body, and a monovalent positive ion-including inorganic salt is present at a rate of 0.1 mass % to 5 mass % with regard to the mass of the polymer elastic body.
3-DIMENSIONAL MANUFACTURE OF POROUS AND WATERPROOF MEMBRANE
The disclosure relates to seamless manufacturing processes for 3-dimensional waterproof and breathable porous polymer membranes by spraying, dip-coating or painting a substrate with a dispersion having polymer, coated or non-coated particles and diluent and removing the particles by dissolution thus creating porosity after the 3D coating/shaping. The disclosure further relates to dispersions to obtain such membranes, to polymer membranes obtained, to shaped articles containing such membranes; to the use of such membranes, shaped articles and intermediates.
SYNTHETIC LEATHER AND COATED ARTICLE
A synthetic leather has excellent flame retardance and an article covered with the synthetic. The synthetic leather includes a fiber base material layer formed of a non-woven fabric sheet, wherein the non-woven fabric sheet includes at least one flameproof layer formed of a web including a non-melting fiber A having a high-temperature shrinkage rate of 3% or less and a thermal conductivity, conforming to ISO22007-3 (2008), of 0.060 W/m.Math.K or less and is formed by bonding the flameproof layer to a scrim layer including a carbonized heat-resistant fiber B having an LOI value, conforming to JIS K 7201-2 (2007), of 25 or more, and a resin layer is laminated on a surface of the scrim layer, and a covered article covered with the synthetic leather.
B-STAGEABLE AQUEOUS BINDER COMPOSITIONS
An aqueous binder composition is disclosed that includes 5.0% by weight to 50.0% by weight of a monomeric polyol having at least four hydroxyl groups, based on the total solids content of the aqueous binder composition; and at least 50.0% by weight of a cross-linking agent comprising a polymeric polycarboxylic acid having at least two carboxylic acid groups, based on the total solids content of the aqueous binder composition. The aqueous binder composition includes a ratio of molar equivalents of carboxylic acid groups to hydroxyl groups is between 0.15/1.0 and 2.23/1 and has a pH of 2.2 to 4.0 and a viscosity at 40% solids and 25° C. of 10 cP to 60 cP.
LAYERED COATING FOR FABRICS
A coating fabric and method of manufacturing the same are provided. A coated fabric includes a base coating layer. The base coating layer defines a smooth coating to resist liquid penetration to the fabric. The coated fabric also includes a middle foam coating layer that is deposited on at least a portion of the base coating layer. The middle foam layer defines a middle layer foam density and is configured to absorb at least a portion of liquid. The coated fabric further includes an outer foam coating layer that is deposited on at least a portion of the middle foam coating later. The outer foam layer defines an outer layer foam density and is configured with holes to allow liquid to penetrate to the middle foam layer. The middle layer foam density is less than the outer layer foam density. A corresponding method of manufacturing is also provided.
