SYSTEM FOR PRODUCING A FULLY IMPREGNATED THERMOPLASTIC PREPREG
According to one embodiment, a system for manufacturing a fully impregnated thermoplastic prepreg includes a mechanism for moving a fabric or mat and a drying mechanism that removes residual moisture from at least one surface of the fabric or mat. The system also includes a resin application mechanism that applies a reactive resin to the fabric or mat and a press mechanism that presses the coated fabric or mat to ensure that the resin fully saturates the fabric or mat. The system further includes a curing oven through which the coated fabric or mat is moved to polymerize the resin and thereby form a thermoplastic polymer so that upon exiting the oven, the fabric or mat is fully impregnated with the thermoplastic polymer. During at least a portion of the process, humidity in the vicinity of the coated fabric or mat is maintained at substantially zero.
INNOVATIVE LEATHER AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF
The present disclosure relates to an innovative leather and a manufacturing method thereof. The innovative leather includes a Polyester substrate, a Polyester adhering layer, and a Polyester surface layer. The Polyester adhering layer is disposed on the Polyester substrate. The Polyester surface layer is disposed on the Polyester adhering layer. All materials of the innovative leather of the present disclosure are the same Polyester materials, thus the innovative leather of the present disclosure can be recycled after the innovative leather of the present disclosure is used. The innovative leather of the present disclosure has recycling benefit.
Shielding device for shading and rain protection purposes
A shielding device for shielding against weather influences that includes a textile sheet material which is stretched two-dimensionally or can be rolled out and which forms a shield against weather influences, in particular, against solar radiation and/or rain. The textile material has warp threads and weft threads connected together in a lattice-like manner so as to form a fabric. A foam layer which has foam pores that are separated from one another by solid foam walls is applied onto the textile sheet material on at least one side of the textile sheet material.
Polymer-coated fabric
Waterproof composite fabrics comprising a textile layer and a continuous polymer layer that comprises adjoining first and second regions with different physical or visual properties, and knife-over-roll coating methods for 5 manufacturing said composite fabrics. The waterproof composite fabrics described are particularly suitable for covering medical support surfaces, for instance mattresses.
Cellulite diminishing fabric
Disclosed is a fabric having a first side and a second side, that is provided at least on part of the first side with a pattern of protrusions, wherein the protrusions comprise an expanded heat-expanding material, namely a heat-expanding material that has been expanded by heating. A polymeric layer is provided to the woven fabric to coat at least part of the protrusions. Also disclosed is a process for the production of the fabric and a garment comprising the fabric.
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING AN IMITATION LEATHER BANDED STRUCTURE WITH NOCTILUCENCE
A method for manufacturing an imitation leather banded structure with noctilucence. The method has following steps: (1) providing an object with a surface; (2) coating a primer layer on the surface; (3) coating a shielding layer and a colored layer sequentially on the primer layer via a color printing mode; (4) coating a predetermined pattern on the colored layer; and (5) covering a transparent ink layer, and performing an imitation leather printing via a UV mask.
GRIP SURFACES
Provided among other things is a method of forming a composite glove with a grip texture, comprising: (a) providing a coagulant-coated support layer that is a fabric layer or a polymeric layer; (b) dip applying to the support layer a foamed polymer dispersion comprising about 0.5% to about 2.0% by weight hygroscopic agent; (c) allowing a portion of the applied foamed polymer dispersion to coagulate based the coagulant diffusing from the support layer to form a partially coagulated foam layer; (d) washing the partially coagulated foam layer to remove uncoagulated polymer to form a coagulated foam layer; and (e) vulcanizing the coagulated foam layer to form a vulcanized open foam layer laminated to the support.
Coating fabric for airbags and method for manufacturing the same
The present invention provides a coating fabric for airbags where an elastomer is coated to at least one side of textile constituted from synthetic fiber filament, which is characterized in that the coating weight of the resin is as small as 10 to 20 g/m.sup.2 and an average resin thickness of the head top in the textile surface is 4.0 μm to 12.0 μm in both directions of warp and weft and that the average value of burning speed measured according to FMVSS 302 is not more than 60 mm/min in both directions of warp and weft and the maximum value thereof is not more than 1.2-fold to the average value in both directions of warp and weft.
Methods of forming an artificial leather substrate from leather waste and products therefrom
Methods of making an artificial leather substrate from leather waste (e.g., shavings, such as wet blue, and/or pulverized trim scrap) and products formed using the artificial leather substrate are disclosed. In one example, the artificial leather substrate comprises a composite web comprising leather waste mixed with a lightweight web, a lightweight web atop the composite web, and another lightweight web atop the first lightweight web. A method of making the artificial leather substrate includes the steps of mixing one or more fiber components, leather shavings, and/or pulverized leather trim scrap to form the composite web; needle punching the composite web; and bonding the composite web.
Low density attached polyurethane foams made using a combination of frothing and blowing methods
Textiles backed with a polyurethane cushion are produced by applying a layer of frothed polyurethane-forming mixture to a surface of the textile. The mixture contains both water and a physical blowing agent. The layer expands due to the action of the water and the physical blowing agent and cures to form an attached cushion having a density of 176 g/L or less.
