A flooring arrangement for an aircraft cabin and an aircraft with the flooring arrangement. The flooring arrangement at least one insulating layer for insulating the cabin; a wire mesh disposed above the at least one insulating layer; a carpet layer disposed above the wire mesh, the carpet layer and the wire mesh being in electrically conductive contact; and at least one resistive element connected to the wire mesh, the wire mesh being structured and arranged for being electrically connected to a conductive structure of the aircraft via the at least one resistive element. The resistive element allows transmission, from the wire mesh to the conductive structure, of electrostatic charges developed on the carpet layer, and impedes transmission, from the conductive structure to the wire mesh, of high current events experienced by the aircraft.

This invention relates to tufted floorcovering articles that are washable in commercial, industrial, and/or residential washing machines. In particular, this invention relates to modular carpet tiles that are constructed in such a way as to withstand exposure to at least one wash cycle in an automatic washing machine. The carpet tiles are designed to be soiled, washed, and re-used, thereby providing ideal end-use applications such as entryway floorcovering articles. A further advantage includes the ability to print advertising logos on the carpet tiles and easily change out the advertising logos as desired. Both features of the carpet tile of the present invention are achievable, at least in part, because the surface of the tile that contacts the floor does not require any type of adhesive in order to use the carpet tile for its intended function.

A carpet tile includes a textile top member and a carrier mat that is coupled with the textile top member via a thermoplastic material. The textile top member includes carpet yarns and a backing that is coupled with the carpet yarns so that the backing structurally supports the carpet yarns. The carrier mat includes a polymeric material component, a reinforcement, and a binder that is uniformly distributed throughout the polymeric material component and reinforcement component. The polymeric material component includes polymer fibers that are randomly oriented and entangled together. The reinforcement is disposed within the polymeric material component so that the reinforcement is entirely covered and concealed by the entangled polymer fibers to prevent exposure to a user. The reinforcement mechanically reinforces and stabilizes the polymeric material component and carpet tile.

A functionalized carpet for covering floorings, including an upper layer of needle punched fibres of the polymeric type in which there are gaps between the fibres and a lower reinforcing layer configured for retaining the fibres of the upper layer.

An artificial turf field system is provided. The system may include a plurality of synthetic turf strands attached to a backing layer and an infill material positioned between the synthetic turf stands. The infill material may include a plurality of porous particles. A sub-layer may be included beneath the backing layer, and may be formed of a resilient material. A support layer may be included beneath the sub-layer, and may include materials configured for drainage. The porous particles of the infill material may include porous ceramic particles and the sub-layer may include rubber. The porous particles may be at least partially coated, for example, by a polymer coating. The infill material may be free of sand and/or crumb rubber.

The present disclosure relates to the technical field of artificial lawn. A multi-functional artificial lawn with overlock is disclosed, including an artificial grass, a base cloth layer, an anti-skid layer and an overlock structure. The artificial grass is tufted on the base cloth layer. The anti-skid layer is bonded to a bottom of the base cloth layer. Peripheral edges of the base cloth layer and the anti-skid layer are provided with the overlock structure. And the overlock structure is formed by overlocking polyester thread. The provided multi-functional artificial lawn with overlock effectively solves a series of problems such as difficult storage, low reuse rate, and black silk falling off at the edges of the lawn.

A carpet and a method of making a carpet are described. The carpet and the method of making the carpet does not involve the use of a latex precoat. This is useful for recycling purposes.

An artificial turf system may comprise a plurality of synthetic filaments and a substrate base layer coupled to the plurality of synthetic filaments. Each filament of the plurality of synthetic filaments may comprise a pigment having an elevated solar reflectance for wavelengths less than 2500 nm. This elevated solar reflectance may be configured to reflect near-infrared radiation, thereby reducing near-surface air temperatures and the artificial turf surface temperatures. Such engineered pigments may also be advantageously used in the leaves of artificial vegetation systems, such as, for example, artificial shrubs and trees.

Coconut crumb can serve as an infill material on synthetic turf fields in the place of tire crumb. The crumbs are less than 10 mm big and have smooth corners and edges. The process of producing the coconut crumb involves successive grinding or milling processes that reduce the inner hard shell of the coconut to particles of an appropriate size for infill, while screening out the unwanted material from being included in the infill.
