An elevator system includes a hoistway, an elevator car movable along the hoistway, and one or more belts operably connected to the elevator car to propel the elevator car along the hoistway. A belt of the one or more belts includes one or more tension elements extending along a belt length, and a jacket at least partially encapsulating the one or more tension elements. The jacket includes a jacket base formed from a first material and one or more insert layers embedded in the jacket base material. The one or more insert layers have a corrugated shape along the belt length, and are formed from a second material different from the first material.

A forming device for forming links in the shape of a Möbius strip includes a rotation module with an inner path. The forming device has a widening for 180° rotation of a strip introduced into the rotation module. The rotation module has an inlet suitable for one end of a strip, an outlet suitable for the strip and the inner path extends from the inlet to the outlet. The widening is adapted for rotation of the end of the strip 180° about its longitudinal axis. The device also includes a gas injector positioned at the inlet of the rotation module intended to drive the strip through the inner path of the rotation module.

A loop structure includes a first element having a first loop, and a second element having a second loop, the first loop interlocking with the second loop. Each of the first and second elements include a plurality of strands, wherein at least a portion of the strands are formed from a flexible material. The strands of the first and second elements are processed in a textile-like manner into one of a braided, woven, knitted, or enmeshed structure defining at least two webs spaced-apart along a longitudinal direction of the first and second elements. The strands are divided into longitudinally extending sections between the webs, the sections forming wings that connect the webs. In the first element, the wings form the first loop, and in the second element, the wings form the second loop.

The present invention relates to a chain link comprising a strip comprising warp yarns and weft yarns, with the warp yarns containing warp yarn A and warp yarn B, with the minimum creep rate of warp yarn B being higher than the minimum creep rate of warp yarn A, wherein the strip comprises a longitudinal core section and at least two longitudinal edge sections, and wherein the concentration of warp yarn A in the core section is higher than the concentration of yarn A in the edge sections of the strip and the concentration of warp yarn B in the edge sections is higher than the concentration of warp yarn B in the core section of the strip. The invention also relates to a chain comprising said chain link and to use of said chain in different applications.

A multi-purpose emergency services strap for facilitating lifting, transporting or carrying an individual has a strap body with a plurality of independent loops formed in the strap body. The independent loops include at least two adjacent, proximal leg loops formed in the strap body on either side of the midline, end loops on each end of the multi-purpose emergency services strap, and a plurality of adjacent handles formed in the strap body positioned distal to each of the at least two adjacent, leg loops and proximal to the end loops. The multi-purpose emergency services strap also includes a back strap and attachment loops that can be variously configured for many rescue and transport applications for humans and animals.

A rope (1) according to the invention comprises a main rope segment (4), a branching position (5) and an end connector segment (6), wherein the end connector segment comprises a first rope-branch (11) and a second rope-branch (12). The first rope-branch (11) comprises a noosed first rope-branch portion (21N) for making a noosed connection with a thickened rope portion, or a thickened first rope-branch portion for making a noosed connection with a noosed rope portion. A safe metal free and hookless winch rope includes a stopper knot formed at an end of the winch rope that is opposite an end of the winch rope intended to be wound around a winch, and a plurality of brummel style openings formed inline along at least a portion of the winch rope. The stopper knot can be selectively inserted into any brummel style opening of the plurality of brummel style openings to wrap around an object during a winch operation and the stopper knot will be securely held in the selected brummel style opening when the winch rope is under tension during the winch operation.

The invention relates to a chain having a plurality of chain links (6) which are connected to one another and made from plastic threads (3, 4), characterized in that each chain link (6) is designed as an endless ring of laid cable based on the plastic threads (3, 4), in particular as a thimble.
