STRANDED WIRE ROPE
A wire rope (10, 20), comprising: a core (12, 22), a plurality of outer strands (18, 28) and a plurality of separator strands (17, 27) laid on said core (12, 22), and a first plastic jacket (19) around said plurality of outer strands (18, 19) and said plurality of separator strands (17, 27), wherein said plurality of separator strands (17, 27) extend from said core (12, 22) and in-between each pair of said plurality of outer strands (18, 28) so as to produce and maintain gaps between said pair of said plurality of outer strands (18, 28). Plastic impregnation of the wire rope (10, 20) can be ensured due to the separator strands/17, 27).

Plastic impregnation of the wire rope (10, 20) can be ensured due to the separator strands/17, 27).
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING AN INDIVIDUALLY SHEATHED STRAND, STRAND THUS OBTAINED AND STRAND MANUFACTURING INSTALLATION
The method for manufacturing an individually sheathed strand comprises: conveying a group of metal wires through a die; upstream of the die, applying a first filler product to at least a first portion of the strand; upstream of the die, applying a second filler product to at least a second portion of the strand distinct from the first portion; and extruding a plastic around the group of metal wires passing through the die, so as to envelop the group of metal wires covered with the first and second filler products in a continuous sheath formed of the extruded plastic. The second filler product has greater adhesion to the group of metal wires than the first filler product.
COMPOSITE ELONGATED BODY
The present invention relates to a composite elongated body (3), comprising high performance polyethylene HIPPE filaments (2) having a tenacity of at least 0.6 N/tex and a polymeric composition throughout (10) the composite elongated body, wherein the polymeric composition comprises a thermoplastic ethylene copolymer and a lubricant; and wherein the thermoplastic ethylene copolymer is a copolymer of ethylene and wherein said polymeric composition has a peak melting temperature in the range from 40 to 140 C. measured in accordance with ASTM E794-06. The present invention further relates to a lengthy body, an article and a crane comprising the composite elongated body: a method of manufacturing a composite elongated body: a method of manufacturing a lengthy body; and use of a polymeric composition.
Elevator rope and elevator apparatus that uses same
In an elevator rope, an inner layer rope has: an inner layer rope fiber core; a plurality of inner layer strands; and a resin inner layer rope coating body that is coated onto an outer circumference. Inner layer strands are twisted together on an outer circumference of the inner layer rope fiber core. The inner layer strands have: an inner layer strand fiber core that is disposed centrally; and a plurality of steel inner layer strand wires that are twisted together on an outer circumference of the inner layer strand fiber core. In addition, a plurality of steel outer layer strands are twisted together on an outer circumference of the inner layer rope.

In an elevator rope, an inner layer rope includes: a plurality of steel inner layer strands; and a resin inner layer rope coating body that is coated onto an outer circumference.
