METAL COATING OF LOAD BEARING MEMBER FOR ELEVATOR SYSTEM
A belt for an elevator system includes a plurality of tension members arranged along a belt width and a jacket material at least partially encapsulating the plurality of tension members defining a traction surface, a back surface opposite the traction surface together with the traction surface defining a belt thickness, and two end surfaces extending between the traction surface and the back surface defining the belt width. A metallic coating layer is applied via deposition of solid particles over at least one end surface of the two end surfaces.

WIRE ROPE
The durability of a wire rope is improved. The wire rope includes a rope body having at least one strand each formed with a plurality of element wires twisted with each other; a lubricant interposed between the plurality of element wires of the at least one strand; and a resin layer coating the outer periphery of the rope body along with the lubricant, the lubricant containing a sulfur-containing organic molybdenum compound.
Steel wire rope, elevator provided with steel wire rope, lubricant for steel wire rope, and use of lubricant for lubricating the steel wire rope
A wire rope is disclosed that comprises metal wires, preferably steel wires, as a load-bearing material, which rope comprises at least one or more strands laid from said metal wires and which rope is lubricated with a lubricant. Another object is the use of the aforementioned lubricant for lubricating a steel rope. The lubricant comprises at least oil and powder substance, which powder substance comprises at least particles whose hardness is greater than 4 on the Mohs scale. A traction sheave elevator comprising such a wire rope as a suspension rope is disclosed, too.
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING AN INDIVIDUALLY SHEATHED STRAND, STRAND THUS OBTAINED AND STRAND MANUFACTURING INSTALLATION
The method for manufacturing an individually sheathed strand comprises: conveying a group of metal wires through a die; upstream of the die, applying a first filler product to at least a first portion of the strand; upstream of the die, applying a second filler product to at least a second portion of the strand distinct from the first portion; and extruding a plastic around the group of metal wires passing through the die, so as to envelop the group of metal wires covered with the first and second filler products in a continuous sheath formed of the extruded plastic. The second filler product has greater adhesion to the group of metal wires than the first filler product.
UTILITY PARACORD
Embodiments disclose a utility model which is related to an advance utility paracord where a first plurality of strands and a second plurality of strands are braided. The first plurality of strands is braided and are made of one or more non-metallic materials. The second plurality of strands has a braided PE fishing line, a tinder line, and a thread. A non-transparent sheath encapsulates the first plurality of strands and the second plurality of strands.
WIRE ROPE LUBRICANT
A wire rope lubricant having a base fluid as a majority component, and a wax or polymer as a minority component wherein at least one of the base fluid and the wax, or polymer, is biodegradable. A method of forming a wire rope having a plurality of wire strands, the method including the step of applying the wire rope lubricant between the wire strands.
