CABLE USING COLD-DRAWN SHAPE MEMORY ALLOY WIRES AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME
The present invention relates to a cable using cold-drawn shape memory alloy wires, which facilitates concrete prestressing or other operations, and has excellent adhesion to concrete and manufacturability. The cable using cold-drawn shape memory alloy wires includes: a core wire configured by a cold-drawn shape memory alloy deformed by cold drawing to have an increased length; and a plurality of peripheral wires configured by cold-drawn shape memory alloy wires which are deformed by cold drawing to have an increased length and are couple to the core wire while being wound in a same direction along the circumference of the core wire.
REINFORCING CABLE HAVING INCREASED DEGREE OF BONDING
The invention can be used in the production of prestressed reinforcement. The problem of interest consists in developing a reinforcing cable having an increased degree of bonding, said cable having guaranteed structural stability and providing an increased degree of bonding with concrete, durability, and stress relaxation resistance. In a reinforcing cable, a central wire (1) is disposed along the axis of the cable, and is configured with spiral grooves (2) having a pitch that is equal to the pitch of the lay of the cable. Strand wires of an inner layer are disposed within the grooves, each of said wires being in contact with the central wire and with two adjacent wires of the inner layer. Strand wires are helically arranged at equal intervals from one another in an outer layer, each of said wires being disposed in a groove between the strand wires of the inner layer, and being in contact with the latter.
REINFORCEMENT MESH AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THEREOF
The present invention relates to a reinforcement mesh (1) for use in construction, the mesh (1) comprising a plurality of longitudinally and transversely extending reinforcing members (2), wherein either of the longitudinal or the transverse reinforcing members (2), each comprises a rebar comprising strands (3) of material twisted together, the strands being parted at spaced locations along their length by the other of the longitudinal or transverse rebars which extend through, and are secured at, the spaced locations of the parted strands (4). The present invention also relates to a method for producing a reinforcement mesh (1) for use in construction
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING AN INDIVIDUALLY SHEATHED STRAND, STRAND THUS OBTAINED AND STRAND MANUFACTURING INSTALLATION
The method for manufacturing an individually sheathed strand comprises: conveying a group of metal wires through a die; upstream of the die, applying a first filler product to at least a first portion of the strand; upstream of the die, applying a second filler product to at least a second portion of the strand distinct from the first portion; and extruding a plastic around the group of metal wires passing through the die, so as to envelop the group of metal wires covered with the first and second filler products in a continuous sheath formed of the extruded plastic. The second filler product has greater adhesion to the group of metal wires than the first filler product.
Coated PC steel stranded cable
A coated PC steel stranded cable includes: a stranded cable in which a plurality of elemental wires each composed of steel are twisted together; an anti-corrosive coating having an outer circumferential portion that coats an outer circumference of the stranded cable; an outer coating that coats an outer circumference of the anti-corrosive coating; and an optical fiber provided at a position inwardly of an outer circumferential surface of the outer coating and corresponding to a strand groove in the stranded cable so as to follow expansion and contraction of the stranded cable.
Pre-stressed concrete structure with galvanized reinforcement
A pre-stressed concrete structure comprises a steel wire or a steel strand. The steel wire or steel strand has been pre-tensioned before curing of the concrete or grout. The steel wire or steel strand is provided with a zinc coating. The zinc coating has a weight ranging between 70 g/m.sup.2 and 950 g/m.sup.2. The steel wire or steel strand has an outer surface that is provided with indentions to provide mechanical anchorage points in the concrete structure. The steel wire or steel strand is further provided with a passivation layer in the form of a metal oxide layer.
STRANDED WIRE
A stranded wire having a plurality of steel wires twisted together includes, in its cross section perpendicular to its longitudinal direction, a central wire as the steel wire, a plurality of first circumferential wires as the steel wires arranged in contact with the central wire to surround an outer periphery side of the central wire, and a plurality of second circumferential wires as the steel wires arranged in contact with the first circumferential wires to surround an outer periphery side of a region where the first circumferential wires are arranged, the second circumferential wires being greater in yield stress than the central wire and the first circumferential wires. The central wire is in surface contact with the first circumferential wires. The first circumferential wires are in surface contact with the second circumferential wires.
HIGH-STRENGTH FIBER COMPOSITE CABLE
A high-strength fiber bundle sufficiently impregnated with a thermoplastic resin, without impairing mechanical strength. A high-strength fiber composite cable is produced by impregnating a bundle of carbon fibers with a matrix resin. The matrix resin is obtained by mixing, with a thermoplastic resin, such as polyphenylene sulfide, an oligomer having a weight-average molecular weight of less than 10,000, obtained by causing a reaction between an organic compound having a phenolic hydroxyl group and an organic compound having a glycidyl ether group. The matrix resin, which has a viscosity low in comparison with that of the thermoplastic resin serving as a base material, readily impregnates the bundle of carbon fibers with certainty.
PRE-STRESSED CONCRETE STRUCTURE WITHGALVANIZED REINFORCEMENT
A pre-stressed concrete structure comprises a steel wire or a steel strand. The steel wire or steel strand has been pre-tensioned before curing of the concrete or grout. The steel wire or steel strand is provided with a zinc coating. The zinc coating has a weight ranging between 70 g/m.sup.2 and 950 g/m.sup.2. The steel wire or steel strand has an outer surface that is provided with indentions to provide mechanical anchorage points in the concrete structure. The steel wire or steel strand is further provided with a passivation layer in the form of a metal oxide layer.
COMPACTED STEEL STRAND WITH CLADDED CORE
A steel strand (10) comprises a steel core wire (12). This steel core wire (12) is surrounded by steel layer wires (14) that are twisted around the steel core wire (12). The steel core wire (12) is covered with a thick corrosion resistant core coating (16) provided by strip cladding or by metal extrusion. The steel layer wires (14) are covered with a thin corrosion resistant layer coating (18) provided by a hot dip operation or by an electroplating or chemical plating process. The steel strand (10) is compacted so that said steel layer wires (14) have a non-circular cross-section and that the thick corrosion resistant core coating fills the interstices between the steel core wire (12) and the steel layer wires (14) in order to give the steel strand (10) an improved corrosion resistance and increased lifetime.
