ROTOR BOW COMPRISING A TUBULAR GUIDE ELEMENT, PARTICULARLY FOR A MACHINE FOR PROCESSING ELONGATE STRAND MATERIAL
Flyer bow for a wire-braiding or cable-twisting machine, comprising a bow member that has a groove extending essentially along the entire longitudinal extension of the flyer bow in the longitudinal direction of the flyer bow. The flyer bow comprises a tubular guiding element, especially a coil spring, for guiding the elongate strand-type material that is placed in the groove without interruption, essentially along the entire longitudinal extension of the groove. The inner dimensions of the groove at any point along the longitudinal extension of the guiding element are greater than or equal to the outer dimensions of the guiding element at the same point. This makes it easy to remove and introduce, preferably pull out and insert, the guiding element from and into the groove.
Aerodynamic flyer bow
A flyer bow providing reduced drag during a wire processing operation is provided. The flyer bow may include an elongate arcuate body having a middle portion, and first and second end portions at opposite ends of the middle portion. The elongate arcuate body may be configured to be rotated about an axis of rotation, the middle portion may include an inner surface, an outer surface, a leading edge, and a trailing edge, the inner surface and the outer surface may cooperate to form a cross section, and at least one centerline of the cross section may include a radius of curvature substantially equal to a distance between the elongate arcuate body at the location of the at least one centerline and the axis of rotation.
Detachable flyer bow system, apparatus and methods of using same
A detachable flyer bow system, apparatus and methods of using the same are provided. The systems each comprise a base having a longitudinal recess with an inner lateral dimension that is greater than the outer lateral dimension and a front lateral dimension that is smaller than the rear lateral dimension, an end block attachable to the end of the flyer bow with a recess engagement portion to slidably engage the longitudinal recess of the base. The base may have an opening to allow at least a portion of the end block to clear the opening for the inward insertion of the end block into the base, or the outward removal of the end block from the base. Methods for securing a flyer bow to a wire twisting machine, methods of attaching a flyer bow to an end block, and flyer bows in combination with end blocks are also provided

STRANDING MACHINE
In a first embodiment, the invention relates to a stranding machine for wires having two wrap-around rollers having wrap-around tracks arranged on the circumference thereof, whereby the wire can be guided in such a way that the wire runs through the first and second wrap-around tracks preferably in alternation in preferably 8-shaped or 0-shaped wraps. In a second embodiment, the stranding machine has a winding device for winding the wire onto a reel having a laying device that can be moved along a movement axis parallel to the reel axis and having a plurality of rotatably supported deflecting rollers, whereby the wire can be guided in such a way that the wire runs onto and/or from each of the deflecting rollers substantially in the plane of rotation of the deflecting roller. In this way, the produced wire has lower twist and lower torsional stresses, which makes the further processing of the wire, in particular the winding, assembly, crimping, and extrusion of a plastic insulation around the wire easier and which increases the number of possible bending reversal cycles.

The end block may cooperatively wedge within the base and its cross section may have a dovetail shape. The base may have an opening to allow at least a portion of the end block to clear the opening for the inward insertion of the end block into the base, or the outward removal of the end block from the base. The opening may be located between the front side and the back side of the base.
