An apparatus for processing a suspension including organic material and liquid, including a housing including an inlet and an outlet; a container arranged within the housing; a screw including a screw shaft and flights arranged within the container; a space defined between the screw and the container, through which the suspension is longitudinally transportable by a rotation of the screw. Further, the container includes a longitudinally extending first part and a longitudinally extending second part; the first part including a beveled edge the second part including a sharp edge whereby an anti-rotation tooth is generated on the inner surface of the container. A method for processing the suspension is also provided.

System and method for treating biomass material
According to the present invention, there is provided a cleaning system for biomass material handling systems and methods for such system. The cleaning system for a biomass material treatment stage in a continuous process system includes a hydrolysis or pre-hydrolysis reactor, a feeding arrangement is arranged to continuously feed biomass material to an inlet of the reactor, wherein reactor includes a reactor screw for moving the biomass material through the reactor and a discharge pipe including a discharge screw for continuously discharging treated biomass material. At least one high-pressure cleaning nozzle is arranged inside a housing of said reactor, wherein the at least one high-pressure cleaning nozzle is arranged to eject cleaning agent at predetermined intervals during operation of the reactor.
System and method for treating biomass material
According to the present invention, there is provided a cleaning system for biomass material handling systems and methods for such system. The cleaning system for a biomass material treatment stage in a continuous process system includes a hydrolysis or pre-hydrolysis reactor, a feeding arrangement is arranged to continuously feed biomass material to an inlet of the reactor, wherein reactor includes a reactor screw for moving the biomass material through the reactor and a discharge pipe including a discharge screw for continuously discharging treated biomass material. SEPARATION DEVICE
A separation device includes: a material supply section that supplies a material containing a fiber; a defibrating section that defibrates the material supplied from the material supply section; a separation section that includes a rotating member, a suction portion, and a collection section, the rotating member having a first surface and a second surface that are in a front and back relationship, being at least partially composed of a mesh, and to which a defibrated material generated in the defibrating section is supplied onto the first surface, the suction portion being provided on a side of the second surface of the rotating member and sucking the defibrated material via the mesh to remove foreign matter, the collection section collecting the defibrated material from which the foreign matter on the first surface has been removed; a weight detection section that detects a weight of the material supplied by the material supply section; and a controller that controls an operation of the separation section based on a detection result of the weight detection section.

A separation device includes: a defibrating section that defibrates a material containing a fiber; and a separation section that includes a rotating member, a first ejection portion, a first suction portion, a second ejection portion, and a second suction portion, the rotating member being at least partially composed of a mesh, the first ejection portion ejecting a defibrated material generated in the defibrating section onto a first surface, the first suction portion sucking the defibrated material via the mesh to remove foreign matter, the second ejection portion having a second ejection port that ejects air toward the defibrated material from which the foreign matter on the first surface has been removed, the second suction portion sucking and collecting the defibrated material peeled off from the mesh by the air ejected from the second ejection port, in which the second ejection portion includes a nozzle having a first portion and a second portion, the first portion being a portion in which a cross-sectional area of a lumen decreases toward the second ejection port, the second portion being provided on an opposite side of the first portion to the second ejection port and being a portion in which the cross-sectional area of the lumen is larger than an opening area of the second ejection port and is constant along a tube axis.

A fiber body manufacturing apparatus includes: a material supply section that supplies a material containing a fiber; a defibrating section that defibrates the material supplied from the material supply section; a separation section that includes a rotating member, a suction portion, and a collection section, the rotating member having a first surface and a second surface that are in a front and back relationship, being at least partially composed of a mesh, and to which a defibrated material generated in the defibrating section is supplied onto the first surface, the suction portion being provided on a side of the second surface of the rotating member and sucking the defibrated material via the mesh to remove foreign matter, the collection section collecting the defibrated material from which the foreign matter on the first surface has been removed; an accumulation section that accumulates the defibrated material from which the foreign matter has been removed; a forming section that forms an accumulated material generated in the accumulation section; a thickness detection section that detects a thickness of a sheet formed by the forming section; and a controller that controls an operation of the separation section based on a detection result of the thickness detection section.
