High consistency re-pulping method, apparatus and absorbent products incorporating recycled fiber
A method of pulping wastepaper includes providing a pulping vessel with a rotor and at least one flow sensor adapted to measure slurry flow within the pulping vessel. The pulping vessel is charged with wastepaper and water to form a slurry, the amounts of wastepaper and water being present such that the slurry has consistency in the range of from 10% to 30%. The wastepaper charge in the pulping vessel is pulped at a pre-selected power level while monitoring poloidal slurry flow in the pulping vessel; and from time-to-time, water may be added to the pulping vessel when the poloidal flow falls below a predetermined lower threshold flow value in order to reduce viscosity and thereby restore poloidal flow within the pulping vessel. Doppler velocimetry is a preferred method of monitoring pulp flow. In a particularly preferred construction the rotor has a variable power drive. The inventive method is especially useful for making high quality, high brightness furnishes from wastepaper which varies from batch to batch.

Method for producing bleached wood fibre material
In a process for producing bleached mechanical woodpulp, said process comprising the steps of a) delaminating comparatively large particles of wood, which have optionally been pretreated with chemicals and/or water, into modified particles of wood, b) grinding the modified particles of wood from a) in one or more refiners, c) optionally treating the stalk obtained in step b) with oxidative or reductive bleaching agents, a composition Z is present during step a) and/or step b), said composition Z comprising one or more of the following components (Z1) to (Z3): a salt of dithionous acid H.sub.2S.sub.2O.sub.4 (Z1), a dithionous acid or dithionous acid derivative generator compound (Z2), a salt of sulfurous acid (sulfite) plus sodium tetraborohydride (Z3) and also optionally additives (Z4).
ARRANGEMENT AND METHOD FOR DEGASSING A PUMP
An arrangement and a method for controlling a gas flow separated from a suspension of medium consistency pulp. The pulp is treated in a pulp treatment apparatus including a first pump and a second pump, wherein the second pump is a degassing centrifugal pump provided with a degassing system including a degassing conduit in which a degassing valve is arranged for regulating a pressure difference between an inlet of the second pump and the degassing conduit. The degassing system further includes a pressurized degassing vessel working under overpressure and having an inlet and an outlet, wherein the outlet of the vessel is connected to a pressure control valve for maintaining a desired overpressure in the vessel.
Method for bleaching paper pulp
The present invention relates to a method for bleaching an unbleached or pre-bleached paper pulp comprising at least the following consecutive steps: a) preparing an unbleached or pre-bleached paper pulp having a pH of at least 8, b) bringing the paper pulp obtained at the end of step a) into contact with chlorine dioxide, c) when the pH of the paper pulp obtained from step b) is lower than 10, adding at least one Brønsted base to the paper pulp, d) adding hydrogen peroxide to the paper pulp obtained at the end of step c), e) maintaining the paper pulp obtained at the end of step d) in a first bleaching tower, f) optionally, adding sulphuric acid to the paper pulp obtained at the end of step e) and maintaining the obtained paper pulp in a second bleaching tower, the method dispensing with the need for a step of washing the paper pulp before the end of step e), and, if applicable, before the end of step f).
PREPARATION OF CELLULOSE FIBERS
The present invention provides a method of producing an improved cellulose pulp consisting of cellulose fibers of a desired length, such as cellulose fibers having a length-weighted average fiber length Lc(l)>0.6 mm and its use in cellulose pulp-comprising products, such as packaging material with improved properties.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING BLEACHED WOOD FIBRE MATERIAL
In a process for producing bleached mechanical woodpulp, said process comprising the steps of
a) delaminating comparatively large particles of wood, which have optionally been pretreated with chemicals and/or water, into modified particles of wood,
b) grinding the modified particles of wood from a) in one or more refiners,
c) optionally treating the stalk obtained in step b) with oxidative or reductive bleaching agents, a composition Z is present during step a) and/or step b), said composition Z comprising one or more of the following components (Z1) to (Z3): a salt of dithionous acid H.sub.2S.sub.2O.sub.4(Z1), a dithionous acid or dithionous acid derivative generator compound (Z2), a salt of sulfurous acid (sulfite) plus sodium tetraborohydride (Z3) and also optionally additives (Z4).

Method For Preparing Dissolving Pulp By Totally Chlorine-Free Bleaching Of Poplar Kraft Pulp
The application relates to a method for preparing dissolving pulp by totally chlorine-free bleaching of poplar kraft pulp, including: preparing poplar kraft pulp by pre-hydrolysis kraft process with poplar as raw material; ZOQP bleaching of poplar kraft pulp to obtain dissolving pulp, wherein Z denotes ozone bleaching, O denotes oxy delignification, Q denotes chelation treatment, and P denotes hydrogen peroxide bleaching. In this way, washing and bleaching wastewater can be recycled in entire preparation process described above, achieving zero discharge. The dissolving pulp prepared by the method has no residual toxic substances, and exhibits that all indexes exceed the requirements of qualified products in dissolving pulp industry standard (QB/T 4898-2015), and most of indexes meet those of excellent products; thus, it can replace imported dissolving pulp. The use of the method significantly solved the problems of large pollution in the production and shortage of raw materials for viscose fibers.
METHOD FOR TREATING DISSOLVING PULP
The present invention relates to treatment of dissolving pulp with a lytic polysaccharide monooxygenase. The lytic polysaccharide monooxygenase treatment results in reduced viscosity and/or improved viscosity control in the dissolving pulp production process and/or 5 increased reactivity of the dissolving pulp.
