A press cover is formed with at least one polymer layer. The at least one polymer layer includes or is formed of at least one thermoplastic elastomer in the form of a copolymer. There is also disclosed the use of a press cover of this type in a shoe press, a shoe press of this type, and a press roll, in each case having a press cover of this type. Finally, there is also disclosed the use of a thermoplastic elastomer in the form of a copolymer, for at least one polymer layer of a press cover for a shoe press for the treatment of a fibrous web.
Manufacturing process for papermaking endless belts using 3D printing technology
An apparatus for producing endless 3-D printed belts using in papermaking and an apparatus for producing endless 3-D printed belts laminated to a substrate for additional strength and dimensional stability during use.
Modified Polyurethane Belt for a Paper, Board, Pulp or Tissue Machine and Process of Producing Thereof
A process produces a body of a belt (10) for a paper, board, pulp or tissue machine, the body having an inner surface and an outer surface. The process includes producing a modified polyurethane by adding a polydialkylsiloxane having at least one functional group to a manufacturing process of a polyurethane in order to obtain the modified polyurethane, which modified polyurethane is a polyurethane matrix having a covalent bond with the polydialkylsiloxane, and forming the body of the belt, wherein the body is the modified polyurethane. The belt (10) is for a paper, board, pulp, or tissue machine, or for a shoe press and a sleeve roll.
PAPERMAKING BELT AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING PAPERMAKING BELT
A papermaking belt in which changes in surface properties of the resin layer upon use is suppressed, and a method for making the papermaking belt. Provided is a papermaking belt for use in a papermaking machine, including at least one resin layer including a resin, wherein the surface roughness after contacting the surface of the resin layer with a metal plate having a surface roughness equal to or less than 0.10 μm at a pressure of 100±3 kg/cm.sup.2 for 20 hours in warm water bathing at 70±5° C. is equal to or higher than 40% relative to the surface roughness of the surface of the resin layer in a wet state before the contact.
METHOD FOR OPERATING A SHOE PRESS, SHOE PRESS, MACHINE COMPRISING A SHOE PRESS, AND USE OF AN INK IN A LUBRICANT FOR A SHOE PRESS
A shoe press has a shoe on which a radial inner surface of a press jacket slides. In a method of operating the shoe press, lubricating fluid is introduced between the shoe and the press jacket for lubricating purposes. The press jacket has at least one polymer layer into which a reinforcing structure is integrated, the reinforcing structure including at least one reinforcing thread. The lubricating fluid, the at least one polymer layer, and/or the at least one reinforcing thread is/are designed such that the lubricating fluid reaches the at least one reinforcing thread of the reinforcing structure and produces a color change in same in the event the polymer layer breaks. There is also described a shoe press, the inclusion of a press jacket in such a shoe press, and a machine with such a shoe press.
Shoe press belt and method for producing a shoe press belt
A shoe press belt for use in a papermaking machine including at least one resin layer, where the resin layer contains a polyurethane resin formed by curing an urethane prepolymer having an isocyanate group with a curing agent having an active hydrogen group, where the urethane prepolymer is obtained by reacting a polyisocyanate compound containing 4,4′-methylene bis(phenylisocyanate) with a polyol compound containing polytetramethylene ether glycol, and the curing agent contains polycarbonate diol(s).
Sleeve roll belt in fiber web machine
A belt (10) for a sleeve roll forms a closed loop and has an inner surface (11) and an outer surface (12). The belt has an elastic body (15) with an outer surface (15a) and a reinforcing structure (30). The reinforcing structure has first yarns (31a) arranged to a first direction (D1), and second yarns (32a) arranged to a second direction (D2). The second yarns (32a) are arranged, at least partially, on the elastic body (15), and/or the second yarns (32a) are arranged to a depth of equal to or less than 2 mm, measured from the outer surface (15a) of the elastic body to a bottom (32a-i) of the second yarn (32a) in a depth direction of the belt. The invention further relates to a use of a belt. The invention further relates to an arrangement comprising a belt and a sleeve roll.
