A scraper bar is used in a plant for producing a paper web with a sieve belt. The sieve belt is movable over the scraper bar transversely with respect to the longitudinal extent of the scraper bar. The scraper bar has wearing elements which face toward the sieve belt, are mounted on a supporting bar and are arranged one after the other in the direction of the longitudinal extent of the scraper bar. The supporting bar has supporting bar elements which are arranged one after the other in the longitudinal extent and which are preferably connected to one another and on which the wearing elements are fastened.
Machine and method for producing a fibrous web
A machine for producing a fibrous web, such as a tissue web, has pressing device with a pressing element and a counter-element with a closed surface for forming a pressure nip. A water-absorbing belt with a web side and an opposite pressing element side is guided together with the fibrous web through the pressure nip and the fibrous web is separated at the end of the pressure nip from the web side of the water-absorbing belt and runs further with the counter-element. The water-absorbing belt has at least a first ply and a second ply, and, as viewed in the thickness direction of the water-absorbing belt, a layer in or on the belt half which faces the pressing element, which layer has a higher specific throughflow resistance than the first ply and/or the second ply.
PAPERMAKING BELT AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING PAPERMAKING BELT
A papermaking belt in which changes in surface properties of the resin layer upon use is suppressed, and a method for making the papermaking belt. Provided is a papermaking belt for use in a papermaking machine, including at least one resin layer including a resin, wherein the surface roughness after contacting the surface of the resin layer with a metal plate having a surface roughness equal to or less than 0.10 μm at a pressure of 100±3 kg/cm.sup.2 for 20 hours in warm water bathing at 70±5° C. is equal to or higher than 40% relative to the surface roughness of the surface of the resin layer in a wet state before the contact.

Shoe press belt
A shoe press belt with excellent mechanical properties, in particular a shoe press belt with excellent crack resistance and excellent resistance to land edge deficiency. The shoe press belt includes a felt-side resin layer containing a resin formed by curing a prepolymer having a terminal isocyanate group (—NCO) with a curing agent, wherein the prepolymer contains, in reacted form, a compound comprising 1,4-bis(isocyanate methyl) cyclohexane and a polycarbonate diol, and wherein the felt-side resin layer has grooves that are configured to receive water squeezed from a felt.
MACHINE AND METHOD FOR THE PRODUCTION OF A FIBROUS WEB
A machine for the production of a fibrous web, with a forming region, including a forming roll and a permeable inner belt which at least partially wraps around the forming roll together with an outer belt for formation of the fibrous web. A press device is immediately downstream from the forming region for additional dewatering of the fibrous web in a press nip and with a downstream drying cylinder. The fibrous web is carried supported on the inner belt from the forming region until the transfer to the heated surface of drying cylinder takes place. The inner belt is textured in order to provide texture to fibrous web and the transfer roll is a shoe roll in order to provide an extended transfer nip.
Papermaking belt and method for producing papermaking belt
A papermaking belt in which changes in surface properties of the resin layer upon use is suppressed, and a method for making the papermaking belt. Provided is a papermaking belt for use in a papermaking machine, including at least one resin layer including a resin, wherein the surface roughness after contacting the surface of the resin layer with a metal plate having a surface roughness equal to or less than 0.10 m at a pressure of 1003 kg/cm.sup.2 for 20 hours in warm water bathing at 705 C. is equal to or higher than 40% relative to the surface roughness of the surface of the resin layer in a wet state before the contact.
Scraper bar for use in a plant for producing a paper web and plant having the scraper bar

SHEETS AND PROCESSES FOR DE-WETTING MEDIA
Disclosed herein are a de-wetting sheets comprising a base layer having a plurality of pores. The de-wetting sheet can have a compressed state in which liquid is allowed to flow through the plurality of pores and a decompressed state in which liquid is prevented from flowing through the plurality of pores. Also disclosed herein are methods of using the same comprising compressing a de-wetting sheet layer between a wetted fibrous layer and a felt layer in which a thickness and/or a stiffness of the de-wetting sheet layer is sufficient to preserve a void volume between the wetted fibrous layer and dry felt layer. The method can further comprise decompressing the de-wetting sheet layer, the wetted fibrous layer, and the felt layer.
AN EXTENDED NIP PRESS APPARATUS
An extended nip press apparatus (1) for removing water from a web (20), comprising a rotatable backing roll (2), an elongated press device (3, 30) cooperating with the backing roll for defining between the elongated press device (3, 30) and the backing roll (2) an extended nip (4). The elongated press device is provided with a perforated belt (5, 50). A moveable, permeable carrying medium (6a) is arranged to be passed through the extended nip, and to support on a surface thereof a web 20. A mechanical pressure is created between the backing roll (2) and the elongated press device in the extended nip, and a vacuum is applied to the extended nip through the elongated press device, thereby both a mechanical pressure and a vacuum is applied to a web (20) being passed through the extended nip (4) on the carrying medium (6a).
