A METHOD FOR COATING A FIBROUS WEB, AND A SURFACE COATED FIBROUS WEB
A method is provided for coating a fibrous web, in particular a fibrous web comprising nanocellulose fibres. The method includes steps of applying a coating agent to a textured surface region of a textured substrate, applying a fibre furnish or a wet fibrous web onto the coated textured surface region of the textured substrate, optionally dewatering to provide a wet fibrous web, and drying said wet fibrous web such that at least a portion of said coating agent is transferred to said fibrous web. The method provides a coated fibrous web with improved barrier properties.
PRINTABLE COMPOSTABLE PAPERBOARD
A coated paperboard is disclosed which includes a printable coating containing substantially no fluorochemical or wax in which the coated paperboard is fully compostable as well as repulpable, and exhibits no tendency toward blocking. The coating may be a multiple layer coating.

METHOD OF PRINTING
A method is disclosed for applying an antibacterial coating onto a substrate having one or more layers of print. In a printing press, one or more layers of print are applied to a substrate in a printing step. A finishing composition is applied over the layers of ink by a finishing stage in a finishing step to form a continuous outer protective layer. The finishing composition is applied to the substrate by a roller. The printing step and the finishing step are performed simultaneously. The finishing composition includes an antibacterial additive.

HYDROPHOBIC TIPPING PAPER
A smoking article includes a tobacco substrate and a mouthpiece axially aligned in an abutting end to end relationship with the tobacco substrate. Hydrophobic tipping paper is disposed about the mouthpiece. The tipping paper is hydrophobic due to hydrophobic groups covalently bonded to the tipping paper.

Oil and grease resistant paperboard
A coated paperboard comprising a paperboard substrate having a first side and a second side and a coating in contact with the first side of the paperboard substrate, the coating including binder and pigment, the coating containing substantially no fluorochemical or wax, wherein the coated paperboard has a 3M kit test value of at least 3, and wherein the coated paperboard is repulpable.
