End Post Gap Fill Assembly
An end post gap fill assembly for an insulated rail joint includes a gap fill member including a head section at a first end of the gap fill member and a stem section extending from the head section to a second end of the gap fill member. The head section is configured to be positioned between respective head portions of first and second rails and the stem section is configured to be positioned between respective web portions and base portions of the first and second rails. A thickness of the gap fill member is consistent from the first end of the gap fill member to the second end of the gap fill member. A sealant is configured to fill a circumferential gap between an outer surface of the gap fill member and outer surfaces of the first and second rails.

Composite rail joint end post
An end post (30) for a rail joint assembly comprising: a top portion (12) consisting essentially of a first electrically insulating material comprising a fiber reinforced polymer material and having a profile substantially identical to cross-sectional shapes of rail head sections of first and second rails of the rail joint assembly; a base (16) having a profile substantially identical to cross-sectional shapes of rail base sections of first and second rails of the rail joint assembly; and a stem (14) disposed between the top portion (12) and the base (16); wherein the stem (14) and the base (16) consist essentially of a second electrically insulating material comprising a polymer material.

CURVED INSULATED RAIL JOINT BAR AND METHODS FOR MAKING SAME
A rail joint bar, comprising: a first side and a second side; wherein the first side has a longitudinal axis and a first outer surface curved convexly or concavely along the longitudinal axis and wherein the first outer surface defines a rounded shape conforming to and fitting within a concavely or convexly curved channel of a side of a curved railroad rail joint, wherein the concavely or convexly curved channel is defined by a web, a head and a foot of the railroad rail joint; and wherein the second side has a second outer surface that has a flat surface following the same curvature of the first side.
METHOD FOR SEALING A CASTING MOULD FOR ALUMINOTHERMIC RAIL WELDINGS
A casting mold (6) consists of two mold halves (4, 5), which are intended for setting up on both sides of the welding groove (3) between two rail ends (1, 2) to be connected, thereby forming a casting space (8) representing a cross-sectional profile of the rails. For sealing the casting space (8) between the rail bodies on both sides of the welding groove (3) and the wall portions (9, 10) of the casting mold (6) that are facing this welding groove, inserted in gaps (11, 12) are strips consisting of a compound at least containing expandable graphite, which as a result of heat being supplied during a preheating process expands and forms a reliable seal. In comparison with using filler sand at this point, there is the advantage that a much smaller quantity of compound has to be carried along when working on the laid track.
Center supported bond joint
A center support sleeve for a bonded rail joint bar that includes a body having a head portion, a web portion, and a base portion. The head portion depends from the web portion, which depends from the base portion. The head portion and the base portion are bent in the same direction thereby defining a recess area therebetween. The web portion of the body also defines a plurality of holes.
