Versatile light rail bed paver
11767643 · 2023-09-26 · ·

A concrete finishing and forming machine adapted for rail trackbed deck construction accommodates various plinths and channels needed for light rail construction. The adjustably configurable machine comprises a rigid frame disposed above a deck by vertically upright, adjustable jack stands supported at their bottoms by wheeled, powered bogies adapted to traverse upon suitable rails on opposite sides of the deck. The jack-stands may be connected to supporting swing arms that extend from pivot sleeves enabling the jack stands to angularly swing out from the frame. A slidable carriage that is longitudinally displaceable within the frame supports at least one downwardly extending, vertically adjustable paving head having a tool that, when immersed within wet concrete and then horizontally displaced, strikes off elongated, smoothed channels resembling pathways upon the concrete. The heads are longitudinally displaceable relative to the carriage so they may be spaced apart such that plinth strips are concurrently formed between the channels.

DEVICE FOR TRANSFERRING AN INFRASTRUCTURE COMPONENT PRE-POSITIONED ON A GROUND, PARTICULARLY A TRACK SUPPORT SLAB, INTO A TARGET ARRANGEMENT, COMBINATION, SYSTEM, AND METHOD

A device for transferring an infrastructure component pre-positioned on a ground, particularly a track support plate, into a target arrangement, comprises a connecting means for fastening the device to a mating connecting means of the infrastructure component, a ground contact means for support on the ground, an actuating device for absorbing a first rotational movement about a first axis of rotation, and a transmission device for converting the first rotational movement into a first transferring movement of the ground contact means relative to the infrastructure component with a translatory movement component orientated perpendicular to a first axis of rotation. A combination and a system comprising at least one such device. A method for transferring an infrastructure component.

TURNOUT ARRANGEMENT WITH ELASTICALLY SUPPORTED TURNOUT BASES

A turnout arrangement of a slab track with a ballastless superstructure for forming a main track (1) and a branch track (2) which branches off from the main track for railway traffic has a plurality of prefabricated turnout bases (3) of untensioned reinforced concrete, a casting compound (5), which is cast and hardened between the aligned turnout bases and the ground (4), a plurality of fastening areas (6) which are rail support points (7) provided on the turnout bases for the rail fastening of the main track, the branch track, and further turnout components. The turnout bases of the turnout arrangement are elastically supported, and each turnout base is provided with a positive-locking arrangement for positively holding the turnout base horizontally with respect to the casting compound. An elastic layer (8) is provided between a projection (13) of an element of the positive-locking arrangement and the turnout base.

VIBRATION DAMPENING RAILWAY TIE BOOT
20190345675 · 2019-11-14 · ·

A vibration dampening boot for railway tie blocks and a method of manufacturing railway tie block assemblies. The boot includes a bottom wall with resilient tie block contact structures disposed at different heights for initial tie block support and variable vibration dampening. The upper portion of the boot terminates in a removable wall connected to the side walls of the boot by a relatively thin tear strip to enable direct pouring of cast material, such as concrete or epoxy, into the boot for casting the tie block, with the wall removable after installation of the tie block assembly into a railway bed. In this manner, the boot may be used with pre-cast tie blocks as well as accommodate direct casting of the tie blocks within the boot to form a tie block assembly.

Method of design and manufacturing concrete structures based on the verification of concrete fatigue strength by test

Method of design and manufacturing concrete structures subjected to relevant cyclic loads along their service lives, as wind towers, and a fatigue testing machine. The method consists on the design of concrete structures conditioned by cyclic loads considering a fatigue strength value specified by the project as one of the main design parameters, which will be verified during the manufacturing phase as one of the control parameters of the quality assurance plan by performing fatigue strength test on concrete samples representative of the concrete structural elements produced on said manufacturing phase. The method allows to decouple the concrete fatigue strength from the compressive strength of the material, which is why includes a verification of the fatigue strength as a part of a quality assurance plan of production according to a new developed procedure.
