SWEEPING DEVICE FOR WORKING ON A TRACK SYSTEM
A sweeping device works on a track formed of rails and sleepers. The sweeping device has a brush shaft formed from a plurality of shaft portions configured as hollow shafts, and resilient sweeping elements protruding radially from the brush shaft. The sweeping device can be attached via at least one adjustable vertical drive to a vehicle that can travel on rails. It is provided that at least one axis of rotation of a shaft portion is adjustable via a control shaft with control elements acting externally on the shaft portion. This achieves an increase in sweeping performance and thus the cost efficiency of the machine, with a concomitant improvement in the quality of the sweeping pattern.
System, method and appartus for in-situ, dynamic repair of a railroad
A device for in-situ, dynamic repair of a railroad can include two connected machines. A first one of machines can be a track lifting unit that can clamp the rails of the railroad and lift the track in its entirety out of its track bed. The first machine also can plow ballast away from and/or toward the rails, and level the track bed for the rails before they are lowered. In addition, the track lifting unit can remove selected railroad ties. The second machine can include a power unit that can provide hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical power to both machines. The power unit also can provide track stabilization by settling ballast and can free debris from the railroad while it is raised.

Roadworthy rail ballast regulator
A regulator moldboard and grader blade assembly includes a moldboard having at least one transversely extending pin, the pin having a notch with a surface inclined toward the moldboard. At least one grader blade has at least one mounting opening having a flared surface complementary to the notch so that the blade is hangable on the pin so that the notch draws the blade against the moldboard as a fastener tightens the blade to the moldboard.

Auto stow wings
Automated storage is provide for a ballast wing mounted on a regulator frame of a ballast regulator machine. A machine controller may detect actuation of a wing activation switch and, in response, actuate a wing lift cylinder connected between the regulator frame and a wing arm to dispose the wing arm within a predetermined safe zone, actuate a wing pivot cylinder to rotate a wing frame to a wing frame stored position, actuate a wing extension cylinder to retract the wing arm extension to a retracted position within the wing arm, and actuate the wing lift cylinder to rotate the ballast wing to a stored position adjacent the regulator frame.
