STORM WATER AND TRAFFIC COLLECTOR BOX CULVERT
Disclosed in the present application is a system for a storm water and traffic collector box culvert. The system may comprise a plurality of reinforced slabs with an upper slab that may be configured as a reinforced surface to collect storm water runoff. The plurality of slabs may be connected by a plurality of attachment mechanisms. Accordingly, the present system is directed to an environmentally friendly culvert design that can minimize the magnitude of earthworks required by traditional drainage systems while also providing increased drainage capabilities. The Environmentally friendly design will contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of the American Urban Infrastructure in reducing the drainage and traffic congestions.
Surrogate for concrete curb
Surrogates for roadside objects, such as concrete curbs, can be used for vehicle testing. A surrogate for a concrete curb can substantially be similar in size and/or shape as the concrete curb that the surrogate is mimicking. The surrogate can be configured to exhibit substantially the same characteristics as their actual counterpart concrete curb when sensed by one or more vehicle sensors (e.g., cameras, radar sensors, and/or LIDAR sensors). Such surrogates can be used to test automated vehicles, one or more vehicle sensors, a vehicle sensor system, and/or one or more vehicle system (e.g., a road departure mitigation system). The surrogates can be configured to withstand being impacted by a test vehicle without being damaged and without damaging the test vehicle.
ARTICULATING CHANNEL
A channel for fluid flow comprising a first unit and a second unit connected to each other. The first unit comprises a first u-section having a first open top side, and a first grate extending across the first open top side and removably attached to the first u-section. The second unit comprises a second u-section having a second open top side, and a second grate extending across the second open top side and removably attached to the second u-section. The first grate defines a negative semicircular distal end having a first diameter and a first center point. The second grate defines a positive semicircular proximal end having a second diameter and a second center point. The first center point is coincident with the second center point and the first diameter and the second diameter are sized such that the positive semicircular proximal end fits within the negative semicircular distal end.
GUIDANCE SYSTEM
A memory stores, in advance, target line information indicating an arrangement target of an object to be conveyed and related to a target line denoted by at least one of a curve or a polyline. A controller is configured to: calculate, based on the target line information, target information which is at least one of information about a target coordinate of the object and information about a target direction of the object; calculate, based on the at least one of the coordinate of the object and the direction of the object detected by the detector, detection information which is comparable with the target information; calculate a deviation of the detection information from the target information; and cause a display to display a moving direction of the object which allows the deviation to decrease.
Padding layer for athletic field
Various embodiments for a pad that may be combined with other similar pads to form a padding layer of an athletic field, or other surface, are disclosed. The pad includes a top surface and a bottom surface. Bottom-side projections are positioned on the bottom surface of the pad. Water channels are positioned on the bottom surface of the pad defined as a recessed area between individual ones of the bottom-side projections. A drainage hole is positioned in at least one of the bottom-side projections such that the drainage hole does not connect with any of the water channels on the bottom surface. The drainage hole may be at least partially coupled to projection channels on the bottom-side projections, where the projection channels act as a water vacuum to facilitate air circulation and vertical water evacuation relative to the drainage hole.
Black locust solar permeable pavers with safety edge protection
The subject matter described herein includes a paving system having a backing matrix, a plurality of untreated black locust wood pavers arranged in a defined pattern relative to one another on the backing matrix, the defined pattern creating regular void spaces therebetween, a permeable medium disposed between the wood pavers and filling the void spaces, at least one solar cell embedded within at least one wood paver, one or more layers of underlayment beneath the matrix, the one or more layers of underlayment having graduated sizes or porosities, and a flexible coating displaced around the perimeter of the backing matrix.
Coupler for Fluidically Communicating a Hose with a Trench Drain
A fluidic coupler for fluidically communicating a hose with a trench drain in a support surface comprises a series of walls arranged to form a cavity and arranged for insertion into the trench drain, and a hose coupler supported on one of the walls for fluidically connecting a hose so that liquid discharged therefrom is released into the cavity. The cavity is open at the bottom of the fluidic coupler so as to release the liquid to the trench drain. The fluidic coupler includes stabilizing feet supported on opposite walls which are parallel to sidewalls of the trench drain. The feet include a pair of distinct feet located at spaced positions on a carrying one of the opposite walls, and on either side of the hose coupler.
KERB BARRIER
A kerb barrier includes: a first barrier member having a length, the first barrier defining a cavity; and a second barrier member in the cavity of the first barrier that extends substantially along the length of the first barrier member, wherein a base of the second barrier member is fixable to a base of the first barrier member, wherein, upon side impact, a region of the first barrier member is configured to bend relative to the second barrier member about a first bending point defined by the first barrier member, wherein the first barrier member is configured to act on the second barrier member such that the region of the first barrier member and a region of the second barrier member are configured to bend about a second bending point defined by the second barrier member, wherein the second bending point is spaced apart from the first bending point.
Structural cells, matrices and methods of assembly
Structural cells and matrices using the structural cells for positioning below a hardscape that define a void space therein, the structural cells, matrices using the cells and methods of assembly allowing in one embodiment the introduction of a structural fluid such as concrete to provide an alternative structural cell and matrix product. In one embodiment a structural cell assembly is described comprising a structural cell with a plurality of legs integrally linked to a frame at a first frame end, the frame linking the legs together and the frame defining a generally flat plane with the legs extending substantially orthogonally away from the first frame end about the frame flat plane to a leg terminal end; and a separate plate engaging the legs, the separate plate comprising linked sockets, each socket engaging the leg terminal end; and/or linked sockets, each socket engaging the leg frame ends or a part thereof.
