Determine optimal frequency to load haul truck
A method of determining optimal frequency to load haul trucks can include a central controller receiving an indication of the amount of paving material at a paving machine, and an indication of production rate of the paving machine. The central controller can then determine when more paving material should be provided to the paving machine. Based on this determination, the central controller can provide alerts or triggers to a paving material plant to indicate when haul trucks should be loaded to provide additional paving materials to the paving machine.
Road finishing machine with compacting message display unit
The disclosure relates to a road finishing machine comprising a paving screed for the production of a new road pavement layer of a paving material and a unit provided on the road finishing machine to generate a dynamic compacting specification field based on thermographic geosignals with regard to at least one temperature image that exists behind the paving screed of the road finishing machine for at least one surface section of the newly installed road pavement layer. An information indication unit provided on the road finishing machine is configured to display at last one compacting message that is at least partially based on the compacting specification field to an operator of at least one compacting vehicle that follows behind the road finishing machine for compacting of the newly installed road pavement layer.

Thermoplastic extrusion melting kettle
A melting kettle for processing of thermoplastic material. The kettle disclosed herein obtains heat transfer by use of an oil jacketed tank with an adjoining main tank for storage of hot oil and a hose tank for recovery of the hot oil. Oil expelled from the oil jacket is directed to the main tank through an opening. Spillage of oil from the hose tank is directed to the main tank through an aperture. The melting kettle reduces the space needed for oil storage, and increases operator safety by eliminating additional transfer lines. Dual kettles benefit by having the adjoining main tank placed therebetween.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR RECYCLING ASPHALT USING INDUCTION HEATING
An asphalt processing system is formed from a heating chamber, a transfer system and an induction heating system. A plurality of paddles, conveyor flights, or conveyor belts having a U-shaped blade move the asphalt through the system while concurrently mixing the material to ensure consistent temperatures through the asphalt cement. The asphalt is heating using one or more induction heating systems to quickly heat the asphalt to between 300° F. and 350° F. The system can include a convection system designed to collect air from the heating chamber, further heat it, and recirculate the air to enhance the asphalt heating. A water condenser can be employed to remove moisture during air recirculation, reducing moisture content in the asphalt cement. The asphalt cement is optionally then modified by addition of one or more rejuvenation oils. This system is particularly useful for recycled asphalt pavement, but can be used for all asphalt products.
System and method of applying material to a surface
A system including a first feeder configured to transport asphalt, a second feeder configured to receive the asphalt from the first feeder, and a controller configured to control a speed of the first feeder and the second feeder in response to an input from an operator.
