ASPHALT PRODUCTION FACILITY AND METHOD FOR MAKING ASPHALT IN SUCH AN ASPHALT PRODUCTION FACILITY
Asphalt production facility and method for making asphalt in such an asphalt production facility
The invention relates to an asphalt production facility (1) comprising: a drum dryer (3), a combustion chamber (9), a burner (11) configured to generate a hot gas flow (F1) circulating in the drum dryer (3), at least one first device (13) for the introduction of asphalt aggregates to be recycled that defined at least one recycling area (15), a cooling channel (17) defined between a wall (19) of the combustion chamber (9) and an external envelope (30′) of the drum (3), a device (21) for injection of a cooling fluid (F4) into the cooling channel (17), and a control and regulation system (23) for piloting the injection device (21) in such a way that the hot gas flow (F1) has a temperature that is lower than 700° C. in said recycling area (15).
A method for making asphalt in such asphalt production facility.
HI-RECYCLE ASPHALT BATCH PLANT
A method for producing an asphalt concrete blend that includes the steps of drying and heating aggregate in a single and only dryer, preferably via direct heating, and without use of a pre-dryer. The aggregate is then combined with asphalt cement, preferably via indirect heating, such that the blend has an asphalt cement components (ACC) percentage of at least 25% percent to form an aggregate mix. Liquid asphalt cement may also be added to the aggregate mix. Preferably, the asphalt cement content of the final asphalt concrete blend is provided by a maximum of 70% ACC. In certain cases, the asphalt cement content of the asphalt concrete blend is comprised of ACC and liquid asphalt cement.

Device and method for producing coated products, for example bituminous coated products, with protection plates
The invention relates to a device for manufacturing coated materials, the device comprising: a furnace comprising an enclosure (2) that is designed to be caused to rotate, that has an inside wall (2A) and that is provided with a main inlet (3) designed to receive non-coated new granular materials (25) or recycled granular materials (25) or a mixture of both of these types of granular materials, and an outlet for the bituminous coated materials that are manufactured inside the enclosure (2); heater means defining a combustion zone (4) inside the enclosure (2) and generating a drying flow suitable for drying the granular materials (25); and protective means for protecting the inside wall (2A), which means are situated in the combustion zone (4); said device being characterized in that the protective means are formed by a plurality of plates (13) that extend at some distance away from or else against the inside well (2A), and that are mutually overlapping in part so as to protect the inside wall (2A) thermally. Methods and devices for bituminous coated materials.
METHOD AND PLANT FOR THE PRODUCTION OF HOT ASPHALT MIXES WITH RECLAIMED ASPHALT MIX MATERIAL
Procedure and plant for the production of tempered bituminous mixtures with reclaimed asphalt pavement (RAP) comprises: a) Provision of RAP having a granulometry comprised between 0 and a maximum diameter; b) Processing said RAP to obtain at least two RAP fractions (one fine, another coarse); c) Subjection of predetermined quantities of said RAP fractions to a process of mixing and heating by hot gas flow such that the heating times of each fraction are adapted to the granulometry thereof, the temperature of the mixture at the end of the step being comprised between 90 C. and 120 C.; d) Blending the mixture with a predetermined quantity of bituminous emulsion supplied at a temperature comprised between 60 C. and 80 C. The temperature of the final mixture will be between 90 and 110 C.
