CATALYTIC SIEVES AND METHODS FOR MAKING SAME
A method of manufacturing a catalytic sieve includes providing starting materials of an aggregate, a cementing agent, a sublimation agent and water. The sublimation agent (between 25% and 50% by weight of the cementing agent) is selected from molybdenum disulfide, tungsten disulfide, vanadium disulfide, copper sulfate, and combinations thereof. The aggregate contains at least 2% by weight of at least one transition metal. The method includes mixing the starting materials to achieve a mixture, placing the mixture into a form, and curing the mixture in the form to allow the mixture to become a solidified unit defined by a minimum dimension of thickness, length, width or diameter. The method further includes placing the solidified unit into a kiln, heating the kiln to 1115°−1350° C., maintaining the kiln at the temperature for between 10-60 minutes per centimeter of the minimum dimension, and removing the solidified unit from the kiln.
Modular floor for providing support to vehicles and crowds on an uneven or soft subsurface, and plank, installation method, and production method therefor
A modular floor for providing support to a vehicle and/or a crowd on an uneven or soft subsurface of a supporting terrain is disclosed. The modular floor comprises at least two planks, each plank comprising a top and a bottom plate separated by a plurality of spacing plates. A first plank comprises a male connection element and a second plank a female connection element to interconnect the first and second planks. The connection elements are configured to extend a modular floor of interlocked planks both at an edge comprising a male connection element as well as at an edge comprising a female connection element. Preferably, a plank is a single-piece component, comprising aluminum alloy or plastic.
COBBLESTONE WITH PERIPHERAL STRUCTURING AND A PAVEMENT LAID THEREWITH
A cobblestone comprises a bottom side, a top side, and at least one side surface substantially perpendicular to the top side and the bottom side. The at least one side surface defines a plurality of surface features. The plurality of surface features comprise alternating projecting portions and receding portions.
CONCRETE SLAB JOINT FORMING SYSTEM AND METHOD
A concrete slab joint forming system and method for forming a joint between adjacent concrete slabs. In various embodiments, the concrete slab joint forming system includes a concrete slab joint former, an extension connector, a cross intersection connector, a tee intersection connector, an end connector, a field cut connector, and/or any combination of any quantity of these components.
Ground stabilization grid
An artificial turf system utilizing a surface stabilization grid. The grid includes (i) a plurality of closed cells having a wall height, with each cell sharing a common wall section with at least two adjacent cells, and (ii) substantially each cell includes at least one reinforcing rib extending across the cell to attach to opposing walls of the cell. A cementitious load bearing material fills substantially all the cells of the grid, a layer of drainage fabric is positioned over the stabilization grid, and an artificial turf is positioned over the layer of drainage fabric.
Reduced-thickness reinforced concrete pavement
A pavement (11) formed by an assembly of concrete slabs (13) of thickness H, each slabs (13) comprising a plurality of superficial grooves (15, 17) of height H3, delimiting sub-slabs (21) and, as reinforcement, an assembly of tie bars (25, 27; 26, 28) for tying adjacent sub-slabs (21) on either sides of said superficial grooves (15, 17), the bars being disposed below the sub-slabs at a distance H2.
MATS AND CONNECTOR SYSTEMS THEREOF
Apparatus and methods related to mats and connects are described. The apparatus include a mat having a top side, a bottom side, and an interior defined between the top side and the bottom side, and at least one connector post extending within the interior of the mat, wherein the at least one connector post comprises a connector pin cavity extending within the interior of the mat and configured to receive a connector pin and at least one locking structure configured to engage with a portion of the connector pin and secure the connector pin to the at least one connector post.
Tactile tiles and installation methods
A tactile tile assembly includes a base having a plate section, a rim projecting up from the plate section, and a plurality of embedment anchors on the base. A tactile tile is adapted to fit into or onto the base. Fasteners extending through the tactile tile attach it to the base. The top of the rim may be substantially co-planar with a top surface projections on the tactile tile. The embedment anchors may be provided in a plane of the plate section and be bent to a position perpendicular to the plate section for embedment into a pavement material. The base has attachment elements for attaching the tile assembly to an adjoining tile assembly. Two or more tile assemblies are attached together to provide a tile assembly combination of a desired size and shape. The tile assembly combination is then installed in the paving material.
Precast concrete panel patch system for repair of continuously reinforced concrete
A CRCP repair system is provided. The repair system may comprise a precast pavement panel having one or more openings positioned in the bottom, side portions thereof, as well as reinforcing members embedded within the panel. The panel may also include a reinforcing fastening member extending into each of the openings. The repair system may further include a prepared side edge of the CRCP having reinforcing anchoring members epoxy cemented therein and extending therefrom, with the anchoring members configured to extend into the openings of the panel with the panel positioned in the void created by the removed CRCP. The anchoring members may be configured in a pair, with each pair positioned to extend into the opening, with the fastening member extending into the opening between the pair of anchoring members. Each of the fastening members and the anchoring members may have a head on a distal end thereof, with the heads configured to create opposing and overlapping forces within the opening when cementitious adhesive (such as grout) is inserted within the opening and cured.
GROUND STABILISATION PANEL
