Pavement breaker
A pavement breaker has a housing, a hammer mechanism mounted within the housing, and at least one handle moveably mounted on the housing. The handle(s) can move in a vertical direction when the pavement breaker is orientated in its normal operation orientation. A sensor is mounted within the housing for detecting when the handle(s) is moved towards or at its uppermost position. If the sensor detects such handle position, the hammer mechanism is deactivated.
Method and apparatus for removing pavement structures using plasma blasting
A method, system and apparatus for plasma blasting pavement comprises an apparatus having a set of diamond cutting tools for creating a boreholes, a diamond saw, and a set of blast probes comprising a high voltage electrode and a ground electrode separated by a dielectric separator, wherein the high voltage electrode and the dielectric separator constitute an adjustable probe tip, and an adjustment unit coupled to the adjustable probe tip, wherein the adjustment unit is configured to selectively extend or retract the adjustable probe tip relative to the ground electrode and a blasting media, wherein at least a portion of the high voltage electrode and the ground electrode are submerged in the blast media. The apparatus saws the pavement at the parameter of the area to be removed, drills holes in the pavement, and inserts blast probes in the holes. The plasma blast breaks up the pavement in between the saw cuts.
Paint-striping laser guidance system and related technology
A paint-striping guidance system including an outrigger attachable to a paint-striping machine, a light-emitting device carried by the outrigger, and a mounting assembly configured to provide an adjustable connection between the light-emitting device and the outrigger. The light-emitting device is configured to form a planar light region having a vertical orientation. The mounting assembly includes an adjustment mechanism operable to move the light-emitting device relative to the paint-striping machine and thereby change a yaw angle of the planar light region.

Paint-striping laser guidance system and related technology
A system configured in accordance with a particular embodiment includes a paint-striping machine having a carriage, an outrigger operably connected to the carriage, and a downwardly oriented nozzle carried by the outrigger. The carriage moves along pavement while the nozzle dispenses paint, thereby forming a paint stripe on the pavement. The system further includes a guidance system operably connected to the paint-striping machine. The guidance system includes a light-emitting device and a mounting and containment assembly that provides an adjustable connection between the light-emitting device and the paint-striping machine. The light-emitting device forms a planar light region having a vertical orientation. The mounting and containment assembly includes an adjustment mechanism operable to move the light-emitting device relative to the paint-striping machine, thereby changing a yaw angle of the planar light region.
