ENERGY-ABSORPTION DEVICE, SUPPORT, CABLE BRAKE, SAFETY NET CONSTRUCTION AND METHOD
An energy absorption device for absorbing at least a portion of impact energy occurring in an impact of an impact body in a safety net construction includes at least one cable guiding unit forming at least one cable receiving region for receiving and/or guiding at least one cable, and further includes at least one energy absorption element, arranged in the cable receiving region and forming at least one friction surface for the guided cable, the energy absorption element being configured, if a force inducing movement of the cable across the friction surface is exerted on the cable, to selectively absorb at least a portion of energy the force created via substantial deformation and/or abrasion of the friction surface. A cable brake, particularly a block-and-tackle cable brake, includes an energy absorption element of the energy absorption device, which is arranged at the deflection element on a side facing toward the cable.

ROCKFALL BARRIER
The present disclosure relates to a rockfall barrier for installation between an uphill side and a downhill side of a hill slope, with at least two guide devices for a net comprising an upper edge and a lower edge, and with an upper load-bearing rope, which guides the upper edge on the guide devices At least one middle rope is provided, which extends from an upper end point fixed to the upper load-bearing rope to a lower end point fixable at the hill slope.
SAFETY NET FOR ROCKFALL PROTECTION BARRIERS
A safety net for rockfall protection barriers includes two outer supports anchored to the slope or rock and at least two inner supports anchored to the slope or rock. Rope guide elements are arranged at the upper and lower ends of the outer and inner supports for respectively two upper net body load-bearing ropes and two lower net body load-bearing ropes. Respectively one of the two upper net body load-bearing ropes runs through a rope guide element of the inner supports and one of the two lower net body load-bearing ropes runs through a rope guide element of the inner supports and is guided past neighboring upper and lower rope guide elements of the inner supports.
SHED TUNNEL STRUCTURE FOR PREVENTING FALLING ROCK
The present invention discloses a shed tunnel structure for preventing a falling rock, including a shed tunnel body and a buffer plate for bearing impact of the falling rock, where the shed tunnel body includes a first supporting structure, and the first supporting structure is arranged on a side away from a ramp; one end of the buffer plate is connected to the ramp; a side face of the buffer plate close to the shed tunnel body is in movable contact with the first supporting structure, and the contact position is close to the other end of the buffer plate. The objective of resisting continuous impact of the falling rock can be achieved through the structural design.
Horizontally extendable silt fence
The present invention is directed to a horizontally extendable silt fence. The present invention is also directed to a silt fence system comprising a horizontally extendable silt fence comprising a water permeable geotextile material having an upper edge and a lower edge, and a plurality of posts comprising an upper portion strutted and arranged to be coupled with the upper edge of the water permeable geotextile material, a lower portion structured and arranged to be coupled with the lower edge of the water permeable geotextile material, and an anchor portion structured and arranged to be driven into the ground to anchor the post. Also disclosed is a method of filtering silt from a fluid stream.

Hybrid snow and ice retention system
Implementations described and claimed herein provide for modular snow and ice retention and mounting systems. In various embodiments, a bracket may comprise a mounting strap, a hybrid pad, a bracket assembly and a rod. The hybrid pad may comprise a face portion and a support portion. The face portion and the support portion may be operatively coupled together. The hybrid pad may be operatively coupled to the mounting strap. The face portion may comprise a stiffening rib. The stiffening rib may be defined in a front surface of the face portion. The stiffening rib may define a first load plane. The face portion may also define a first rod notch. The first rod notch may be defined on a first side of the face portion. The face portion may also define a second rod notch. The rod may be mountable to the hybrid pad.
