Snow-removing vehicle
11702808 · 2023-07-18 ·

The snow-removing vehicle may comprise a snow collector, a vacuum, a tank, a steam chamber, and a vehicle. As the vehicle drives through snow, the snow collector may remove the snow from a roadway and may direct the snow towards a vacuum hose. The vacuum may draw the snow from the snow collector, through the vacuum hose, and into the tank. The snow may be heated while in the tank and may melt into water. The heating may turn the water into steam. The steam may collect in the steam chamber before being expelled from the vehicle via one or more exhaust fans.

A handheld snow removing system includes an intake scoop with a rotating intake auger, a discharge chute configured to direct a flow of material to a point outside of the handheld snow removing system, a fan chamber disposed between the intake scoop and the discharge chute, and an energy-conversion device configured to drive elements of the fan chamber and the rotating intake auger. The fan chamber includes a fan configured to create a suction force within the fan chamber to create the flow of material from the intake scoop, through the fan chamber, and out through the discharge chute.

Brush retrofit for a snow removal vehicle
11486106 · 2022-11-01 ·

A brush retrofit for mounting behind a snow plow blade of a snow removal vehicle is disclosed. The brush retrofit includes a base frame, a stationary brush assembly, a retrofit mount, a brush elevation actuator, and a retrofit mount. The stationary brush assembly is movably mounted to the base frame. The retrofit mount is configured to secure the base frame to a support structure of the snow removal vehicle behind the snow plow blade. The brush elevation actuator when activated, moves the stationary brush assembly relative to the base frame between a raised storage position and a lowered in-use position. The retrofit mount is configured to secure the base frame to a support structure of the snow removal vehicle behind the snow plow blade.

Autonomous path treatment systems and methods

An autonomous path treatment system and associated path treatment method uses a mobile path recording device having a locator, a processor and firmware to capture a sequence of coordinates and directions of travel of a path as the mobile device is moved along the path and generate a path program file. The system also has an autonomous path treatment robot having: a treatment mechanism for treating the path; a controller having a processor and memory storing firmware that when executed obeys steps of the path program file to control the motor and the treatment mechanism to treat the path; and a server configured to execute a path program to process the captured sequence of coordinates and directions into the path program file containing instructions for controlling the autonomous path treatment robot to treat the path based upon the coordinates.

SNOW REMOVAL SYSTEM AND SNOW REMOVAL METHOD

A snow removal system includes a work machine and a snow removal machine. The work machine includes a work unit configured to perform work and a position detector configured to detect a position of the work machine when the work unit has performed the work and generate position information indicating the detected position. The snow removal machine is capable of autonomous movement and includes a snow removal unit configured to perform snow removal work and a controller configured to cause the snow removal unit to perform the snow removal work on the basis of the position information.

Snow removal device, vehicle, and track transportation system

A snow removal device includes: a brush rotary shaft that is mounted on a vehicle body traveling along a track and in front of a running wheel of the vehicle body and that is rotated in a direction opposite to the rotation direction of the running wheel; a travel brush part that protrudes radially outward from an outer circumferential surface of the brush rotary shaft and comes into contact with a runway of the track with which the running wheel is in contact; and a brush pressing part that presses the travel brush part toward the runway. The travel brush part is provided in a spiral region formed on the outer circumferential surface of the brush rotary shaft in a spiral manner extending toward an axis direction in which the axis extends as going toward a circumferential direction of the brush rotary shaft.

Snow removal brush, vehicle, combination vehicle, and track transportation system

A snow removal brush includes a brush rotary shaft that is disposed on each of opposite lateral surfaces of a vehicle body traveling along a track and in a vehicle width direction of the vehicle body and is supported by the vehicle body to be rotatable about an axis extending in a direction intersecting a track surface of the track, and a brush part that protrudes from an outer circumferential surface of the brush rotary shaft to a radial outer side. The brush part is formed to come into contact with trolley wires provided for the track and supplying electricity to the vehicle body.

Rotary boom with snow and ice removal system

A rotary broom assembly is provided for use with a vehicle to reduce the accumulation of ice and snow on the rotary broom assembly when clearing paved surfaces, such as airport runways. The rotary broom assembly includes one or more wiper assemblies that are mounted for reciprocating movement along a broom hood. The broom hood includes a generally flat top surface and the wiper assemblies move along the top surface to clear snow and ice from the top surface of the broom hood. During forward movement of the wiper blade, the scraping edge of the wiper blade contacts the top surface of the broom hood to remove accumulated ice and snow. During the reverse movement of the wiper blade, the scraping edge of the wiper blade is lifted from the top surface to reduce removal of accumulated ice and snow during the reverse movement.

Auxiliary snow moving members and snow removal machines having at least one auxiliary snow moving member

Snow removal machines are provided that have an auger assembly for directing snow rearwards to be received by a discharge chute, and an auxiliary snow moving assembly for directing snow rearwards to be received by the discharge chute. The auger assembly has auger blade(s) coupled to an auger axle for rotation therewith about a first axis defined by the auger axle. The auxiliary snow moving assembly has snow moving member(s) coupled to an auxiliary axle for rotation therewith about a second axis defined by the auxiliary axle. The auxiliary axle is lower and rearwards of the auger axle towards the discharge chute; and an auxiliary drive assembly is configured to rotationally couple the auxiliary axle to the auger axle such that rotation of the auxiliary axle is driven by rotation of the auger axle.
