The snow-removing vehicle may comprise a snow collector, a vacuum, a tank, a steam chamber, and a vehicle. As the vehicle drives through snow, the snow collector may remove the snow from a roadway and may direct the snow towards a vacuum hose. The vacuum may draw the snow from the snow collector, through the vacuum hose, and into the tank. The snow may be heated while in the tank and may melt into water. The heating may turn the water into steam. The steam may collect in the steam chamber before being expelled from the vehicle via one or more exhaust fans.

A snow conversion system for removal of snow from an access surface includes a mixing tank and a conveyor apparatus fluidly connected to the mixing tank for transferring the snow from the access surface into the mixing tank. The system also includes a fluid delivery arrangement for injecting a chemical agent into the mixing tank to combine the chemical agent with the transferred snow and thereby generate a solution of the melted snow and the chemical agent. The system additionally includes a mixer for agitating and mixing the snow and the injected chemical agent in the mixing tank to thereby further facilitate melting of the snow in the mixing tank. The system further includes a fluid nozzle in fluid communication with the mixing tank for dispensing the solution of the melted snow and the chemical agent onto the access surface to thereby provide de-icing and/or anti-icing of the access surface.

Heated platform systems are disclosed herein. Heated platform systems according to the present disclosure include a fiber reinforced panel that has a heating element that is made from a plurality of conductive mats. The plurality of conductive mats are placed into electrical continuity with one another by electrical leads, and are electrically isolated from one another by electrical insulating interleaf layers that prevent electrical shunting of adjacent conductive mats.

A snow-to-slurry conversion apparatus can include a chassis, a collection device, a holding tank, a conveying system, and a spraying system. The collection device can be mounted on the chassis and extend between a collection inlet to a collection outlet. The holding tank can be mounted on the chassis. The holding tank can include a tank inlet and a tank outlet. The conveying system can extend between a conveying inlet communicating with the collection outlet and a conveying outlet communicating with the tank inlet. The spraying system can extend along the conveying system between the conveying inlet and the conveying outlet. The conveying system can extend along a tortured path and include a plurality of sections extending in opposite directions. The spraying system can include spray jets disposed along the plurality of sections extending in opposite directions.

The frame also holds a plurality of flame nozzles that directs heat down towards a snow and/or ice covered surface. In one embodiment, at least one propane tank is provided that allows the device to be hooked up to any vehicle rather than a propane truck such as a pickup truck, or small tractor. In one embodiment, a front mounted snow and ice melting device is also attached to the front of the vehicle to further enhance the snow and melting effect. In another embodiment, the snow and ice melting device has a frame that holds a propane tank. The frame has a handle and wheels to allow the user to maneuver the device to melt ice and snow. A riding embodiment is also shown.
