UPENDING AND LIFTING TOOL
To upend and lift an object, e.g. a foundation member of an offshore wind turbine, e.g. a monopole, use is made of an upending and lifting tool, wherein, with the tool suspended from one or more hoisting cables, e.g. from a crane hook of a crane, and with the frame of the tool initially in vertical orientation, a routine is performed which includes operating one or more shifting actuators, thereby moving a cable shifting member and engaging a cable engagement surface with the one or more hoisting cables at a height above a pivot axis. Further continuing this motion of the cable shifting member and thereby applying a cable shifting force on the one or more hoisting cables results, in reaction, in a pivoting of the frame into the horizontal orientation thereof.
Sealing device for a tubing arrangement
A sealing device for a tubing arrangement, preferably for use in an offshore facility, such as an offshore wind turbine or an oil rig. The tubing arrangement has a cable or an inner tube arranged in an interior part thereof. The sealing device comprises a substantially rigid housing and a flexible plug part arranged in an interior part of the housing. The housing is mountable on or forms part of the tubing arrangement in such a manner that the interior part of the housing communicates with the interior part of the tubing arrangement. The flexible plug part comprises an inlet opening connectable to a grout source. When grout material is supplied to the flexible plug part, the flexible plug part expands, thereby providing sealing between the housing and a cable or inner tube arranged in the interior of the tubing arrangement. The sealing device can be mounted on the tubing arrangement before the tubing arrangement is mounted on an offshore facility, and the grout material can be supplied at a later time. Use of divers is thereby minimized. The sealing device can easily be removed and replaced.

The pile plug (1) has independent buoyancy, high displacement and a rigid structure of the skeleton (2) and a flexible sheath (3) at least on the side surface of the plug body, while the flexible sheath constitutes an airtight container equipped with pneumatic valves (4). The sheathing material (3) of the plug (1) can be made of a material with a high friction coefficient in relation to the pile material selected from the group: natural rubber, synthetic rubber, polyurethane. Inside the cap (1) there is a pile venting pipe (14) closed with a pile venting valve (15), which connects the space inside the pile with the surroundings. Preferably, the cap (1) has a ballast load (16) internally for positioning the plug with respect to the pile and for balancing the cap horizontally and also preventing unfavourable rotation of the pile.
Device and method for reducing noise
A device for and methods of reducing sound vibrations in a liquid resulting from a sound source arranged below the liquid level of a body of water are disclosed. The device includes an elongate tube which can be arranged over the sound source, the tube comprising an outer wall and inner wall with an intermediate space between the inner and outer wall.
