OVERSHOT AND UNDERSHOT CONTROL GATE
A control gate for a channel or pond adapted to be installed across a channel for liquids. The control gate includes: at least two panels hingedly connected together, the panels having opposing sides in sealing engagement with side walls of the channel, a lowermost panel being in sealing engagement with the floor of the channel. The panels are substantially vertically aligned in a fully closed position of the control gate. At least one first lifting element is connected to the top of an uppermost panel and is adapted to lower and raise the uppermost panel relative to its hinged connection in a concertina manner to provide an overshot position for the control gate. At least one second lifting element is connected to the bottom of the lowermost panel to raise and lower the lowermost panel from the floor of the channel to provide an undershot position for the control gate.

Bollard wall gate system
A bollard wall gate system including a lockable access door enclosing the gate which is easy-to-operate and resistant to tampering. The bollard wall gate system generally includes one or more bollard panels which form a continuous bollard wall. Each of the bollard panels includes a passageway which may be selectively opened or closed by use of a gate. The gate includes a plurality of gate members which may be raised to open the gate or lowered to close the gate. The bollard panels include an enclosure through which the gate extends. A locking device may be utilized to selectively lock the gate in its opened or closed position, with the locking device being connected to the gate within the enclosure so as to prevent tampering or unauthorized access.
HERODOTUS MACHINE
An Herodotus machine, or bottom-source, up-stair, hybrid pump and step lock system, includes synchronized reciprocating cross-gate displacers with commonly synchronized gates and floating body movers; specifically including a sequence of ascending adjacent step locks separated by gates with reciprocating gears on axles aligned over respective gates. A chain over each reciprocating gear has a displacer on each end, with one displacer in the upper lock and the other displacer in the lower lock. Rotating first, the downstream displacer descends to raise the lower lock water level, while the upstream displacer rises to lower the upper lock water level, and vice versa on the reverse gear rotation. Displacers are sized such that water levels in alternate pairs of upper lock and lower lock are made the same. The gate is then opened and a watercraft can be transferred from the lower lock to the upper lock or vice versa.
Inflatable flood barrier
An inflatable flood barrier includes a board having a side plate and a peripheral plate attached to the side plate. The board being provided with a charging port, the peripheral plate has rounded corners, and the side plate has corner portions. The rounded corners and the corner portions are positionally corresponding. The corner portion has guiding grooves. A flexible seal embraces at least a part of the peripheral plate and has an internal channel, a gas inlet and a gas discharging port. When the flexible seal is inflated at the internal channel, a watertight combination between the inflatable flood barrier and a contacting surface of a gate it protects is achieved. The inflatable flood barrier is structurally simple, watertight, convenient to use and store, apparently pleasing, and functionally versatile.
Undershot gate flow control system with flow diverter
An undershot gate system controls flow of liquid through an open channel or pipe. The system includes a gate leaf adapted to be raised and lowered by a control to allow flow of liquid along the open channel or pipe. The gate leaf has a flow diverter at an end of the gate leaf to guide liquid under the gate leaf and through an opening when the gate leaf is in an open position.
Dam with auxiliary dam and underground water path
A dam according to the present disclosure includes a main dam including a first reservoir, and at least one first discharge part configured to discharge water stored in the first reservoir, an auxiliary dam spaced apart from the main dam at a predetermined interval and including a second reservoir configured to store the water discharged from the main dam, and at least one second discharge part configured to discharge the water stored in the second reservoir, and an underground water path being provided separately at a lower side of a bottom surface of the river or stream under a lower side of the second reservoir, and including a third discharge part.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR BLOCKING A SURGE OF WATER
A surge gate for blocking a surge of water includes a sleeve disposed below a waterline of the water, wherein the sleeve has an open upper end and a closed lower end, and a piston slidably disposed in the sleeve, wherein the piston is configured to rise vertically within the sleeve along a vertical axis between a first position with an upper end of the piston positioned below the waterline, and a second position with the upper end of the piston positioned above the waterline.
APPARATUS FOR THE CONTINUOUS REMOTE MEASURING OF THE FLOWRATE OF WATER IN BULKHEAD-HOLDER OPENINGS FOR IRRIGATION
An apparatus for the continuous remote measurement of the flowrate of water in bulkhead-holder openings for irrigation, characterised in that it comprises a measuring instrument installed at a distance relative to a lower crossbeam which acts as a bulkhead in an opening of an irrigation channel; the apparatus comprises vertical uprights integral with the crossbeam and a transmitter device; the apparatus can be installed at an opening of an irrigation channel so that the vertical uprights can be made to slide inside bulkhead-holder grooves provided in the sides of the opening; the apparatus allows the detection of data including at least the level of the surface of the water at the opening and the transmission of said data to a remote location.
