EROSION CONTROL APPARATUS
The present invention relates to an erosion control apparatus and methods of using and installing the apparatus. The apparatus is constructed to prevent erosion of soil during typical weather or tidal conditions and adverse weather events. The apparatus can include a plurality of anchored rolls and soil lifts operative to stabilize the shoreline.
Stitching Pattern Tufted Geotextile For Infill Stability
A tufted geotextile includes a backing sheet tufted to resemble grass with polymeric yarns that when tufted form loops or bridges on a back side and tufts that extend as grass-like blades from an upper surface. Each line of tuft blades is tufted with a repeating stitching pattern generally of a weft portion along a tuft line first axis and warp portions disposed in a first direction at an angle to the first weft portion. The tufts define interstices that define cells that receive and trap infill for resisting displacement and movement of the infill under loading such as hydraulic flow or granular flow due to wind, seismic, vibrations, expansion and contraction loading, and the like. Each line of tuft blades is sewn along an alternating, interconnected “C-shaped” stitching pattern or square wave stitching pattern to define diverting tufts to restrict infill displacement and water flow.
Construction Method of Fast-setting Polymer Grouting for Rapid Control of Slope Erosion and Landslide
A construction method of fast-setting polymer grouting for rapid control of slope erosion and landslide. This solution includes a landslide control method and a slope erosion control method: sorting out an operation platform; drilling and grouting of polymer high-pressure jet grouting piles on the diseased slope; drilling a row of grouting water interception holes densely on the rear edge of the diseased slope; drilling, on the operation platform, a plurality of anchor holes on the diseased slope; inserting a ground anchor into each anchor hole and performing polymer grouting to form a polymer anchorage body; laying a steel wire gauze on the surface of the diseased slope, and connecting and fixing the steel wire gauze with the tail end of each ground anchor; spraying a two-component expandable polymer grouting material onto the steel wire gauze to form a polymer anti-scour layer; drilling a plurality of planting holes on the diseased slope with a backpack drill through meshes of the steel wire gauze; and filling each planting hole with grass seed mixed nutrient soil. The present invention has the advantages of short construction period, ecological and environmental protection, convenient construction, high strength and strong scour resistance.
Cellular structures
A cellular structure includes a plurality of interconnected cells of fabric material. The cells are at least partially filled with a composite fill material that includes a particulate material and a bonding agent. A cellular unit made up of a plurality of the interconnected cells may have an associated load-bearing frame to enable lifting and/or transportation of the structure. The fill material is preferably resilient.
CONNECTION DEVICE FOR FASTENING EXPANDED CELL CONFINEMENT STRUCTURES AND METHODS FOR DOING THE SAME
A connection device for fastening two expanded cellular confinement structures includes: an insertion member; an integral shank extending perpendicular from the insertion member; and an integral handle member extending perpendicular from the shank at an end of the shank remote from the insertion member. One or more barbs may project from the insertion member. The device can have a washer section between the handle member and insertion member. The handle can be curved, or it can be in the shape of a polygon.
Capping assembly
A capping assembly (10) for mounting on a covering (12) is disclosed. The capping assembly (10) comprises a cap (14) which can be disposed on the covering (12), a securing arrangement (18) to enable the capping assembly (10) to be secured on the covering (12). The capping assembly (10) further includes an insertion member (16) for insertion through the covering (12). The cap (14) can be attached to the insertion member (16). The securing arrangement (18) comprises a securing device (20) and a holding formation (44) to hold the securing device (20), the holding formation (44) being provided on the insertion member (16).
Geogrids
A geogrid in the form of an integral, mesh structure includes molecularly orientated polymeric material, with the integral, mesh structure being formed of interconnecting mesh defining elements including elongate tensile elements. The molecular orientation of the integral, mesh structure is uniform throughout the extent thereof.
System and method for installing a membrane-lined buried wall
A system and method for installing a membrane-lined wall for levee reinforcement or leak prevention. The installation system may comprise a sled positioned above the trench having a length, and may comprise a frame and support members, and a weight suspension system mounted on the frame to lower an elongated weight into the trench. The liner installation sled may also include a liner roller rotatably mounted on the frame, the liner roller adapted to hold a roll of a liner above the surface on a first side of the trench when the liner installation sled is in an installation position relative to the trench, wherein a longitudinal axis of the roll of liner can be aligned with the length of the trench. The elongated weight is usable to force the liner into the trench.
EROSION CONTROL SECURING APPARATUS AND METHOD
An erosion control securing apparatus and method is disclosed. For example, an erosion control securing device is provided that includes a main shaft with a hexagonal-shaped head portion at its proximal end and a coil portion at its distal end. In one example, the coil portion of the erosion control securing device includes three turns. Further, a method of using the presently disclosed erosion control securing device for securing erosion control products is provided.
