Systems and methods to provide pressed aggregate-filled cavities for improving ground stiffness and uniformity are disclosed. According to an aspect, a method includes using a mechanism to press into a ground surface in a substantially downward direction to create a concavity. The method also includes substantially or completely filling the concavity with unstabilized or chemically stabilized aggregate, soil, or sand. Further, the method includes using the mechanism to press the aggregate within the concavity to achieve a desired ground stiffness.
Assembly and method for installing and replacing fence posts
An assembly and method for installing a fence post and cementing the fence post in place which allows the fence post to later be replaced without digging the old post and cement out of the ground and without having to re-cement and position the new fence post. The assembly includes an outer sleeve which is cemented in the post hole, an insert which receives a lower end of the fence post and is inserted into the outer sleeve, and an upper cap, through which the post extends, which is threadedly secured on the outer sleeve and is configured, and/or includes a ratcheting latch or strap, for releasably compressing an upper end of the insert into gripping engagement with the fence post.
An arrangement for supporting a steel pile in an impact pile driving device, an impact pile driving device, an impact pile driving machine, and a method for arranging the support of a steel pile in an impact pile driving device
The invention relates to an arrangement for supporting a thin-walled steel pile (5; 17; 26; 35) in an impact pile driving device, the arrangement comprising a supporting surface (4; 14; 23; 31), to which the steel pile (5; 17; 26; 35) can be supported, and in which arrangement the supporting surface (4; 14; 23; 31) is provided with one or more absorbing surfaces (6; 16; 25; 33) to be placed against the end of the wall (8; 18, 26; 36) of the steel pile (5; 17; 26; 35). In the arrangement according to the invention, the absorbing surface (6; 16; 25; 33) is configured to shape the end of the wall (8; 18; 27; 36) of the steel pile (5; 17, 26; 35) coming against the absorbing surface (6; 16; 25; 33), by the effect of the impact driving of the steel pile (5; 17; 26; 35), so that at least the part of the wall (8; 18; 27; 36) at the absorbing surface (6; 16; 25; 33) of the wall (8; 18; 27; 36) is shaped against the absorbing surface (6; 16; 25; 33), wherein the movement of the wall (8; 18; 27; 36) in the direction of a plane transverse to the direction of impact driving of the steel pile is prevented, at least at the head of the steel pile (5; 17; 26; 35). Also, the absorbing surface (6; 16; 25; 33) in the supporting surface (4, 14; 23; 31) can be configured to be shaped by the effect of the impact driving of the steel pile (5; 17, 26, 35) so that the absorbing surface (6; 16; 25; 33) is shaped against the part of the wall (8; 18, 27; 36) of the steel pile (5; 17; 26; 35) at the absorbing surface (6; 16; 25; 33), whereby the movement of the wall (8; 18; 27; 36) at the head of the steel pile (5; 17; 26; 35) is prevented. The invention also relates to a method for arranging the support of a steel pile (5; 17; 26; 35) in an impact pile driving device.
Systems and Methods to Provide Pressed and Aggregate Filled Concavities for Improving Ground Stiffness and Uniformity
Pumping unit bases with driven piles
Embodiments of the present disclosure generally relate to a pumping unit base and methods for operating with the pumping unit base. The pumping unit base may include a plurality of driven piles installed in the ground, and a metal platform fixedly attached to the plurality of driven piles, wherein the metal platform is positioned above the ground. The metal platform may be removed from the driven piles and reinstalled to the driven piles.
Soft-soft foundation for offshore structures
A foundation for an offshore structure is disclosed. The foundation includes a tower having an anchoring portion anchored in the seabed and a connecting portion arranged at the opposite end. The foundation also includes a power generation system arranged above the water surface connected to the connecting portion of the tower. A natural frequency of the offshore structure lies below an excitation component one times the rotational frequency 1P of at least one exciting component. The foundation also includes at least one restoring element connected to the tower via one or more transition pieces. The restoring element is designed such that, in a skewed position of the tower, tensile and/or compressive forces can be transferred to the tower by means of the restoring element such that the tower can be straightened up.
