Membrane-lined wall
A membrane-lined wall for levee reinforcement or leak prevention, prevention of water migration, and pollution control of impoundments. The membrane-lined wall generally includes a cementitious or concrete wall formed within an excavated trench. The concrete may be internally reinforced, and the wall may also comprise a double-layer of impermeable geomembrane liner that forms a barrier between the concrete and the sides and bottom of the trench. The membrane or liner reduces water migration, prevents levee leakage, and prevents the escape of contaminants in impoundments.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR PRODUCING CONCRETE PILE
A manufacturing method of a concrete pile is shown. The method includes the following, that is, pouring concrete in the pile molding space, reducing the pile molding space to compress and mold the concrete, draining water drained from the concrete by compression and molding outside of the formwork from the drainage hole, and holding the concrete a predetermined amount of time to harden the concrete. The formwork includes an outer formwork that molds an outer wall surface of the concrete pile, an inner formwork that molds an inner wall surface of a hollow space of the concrete pile, and a pair of end formwork that mold upper and lower end surfaces of the concrete pile. The drainage hole is a gap between adjacent components when the mold is tightened, and the gap is configured to be capable of being opened larger during cleaning than when the mold is tightened.
UNDERPINNING PILE ASSEMBLY FOR SUPPORTING STRUCTURE UPON THE EARTH
An underpinning pile assembly for supporting a structure upon the earth has a plurality of pile segments, a cable extending through a continuous passageway of the plurality of pile segments, and an anchor assembly positioned at the top of the plurality of pile segments. Each of the plurality of pile segments is stacked one upon another. The cable has a lower end affixed to one of the plurality of pile segments. The anchor has an opening that receives a portion of the cable therein so as to fix a position of an upper end of the cable. The anchor assembly has at least one column extending upwardly from an upper surface thereof. An adjustable support is affixed to the column and has a surface opposite the column that is adapted to support the structure thereon.
MONOPILE AND WIND TURBINE STRUCTURE
A monopile comprising a body (1) having a hollow interior, a toe (9) at a distal end for insertion into a soil (19) during monopile installation, and a proximal end region (2) for supporting a structure (7), such as a wind turbine tower, once the monopile has been installed. The body (1) further comprises a door aperture (12) provided in the body (1) for accessing the interior of the body (1). The door aperture (12) is configured to receive a door assembly (6,18) once the monopile (1) has been installed.
Building elements for making retaining walls, and systems and methods of using same
A budding element for coupling with other budding elements to erect a retaining wall. Exemplary building elements have receiving spaces for receiving increased weight of fill material to provide increased stability. Optionally, each building element can have an enlarged face profile that provides efficiency in the shipping and assembly process. Optionally, each building element can define alignment voids that receive portions of alignment posts for ensuring vertical alignment between adjacent building elements or portions of building elements.
METHOD AND KIT FOR MANUFACTURING FOUNDATIONS FOR UPRIGHTS BY USING SHEETS EMBEDDED BY VIBRATION OR BY PERCUSSION
The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing foundations for uprights (1) by using metal sheets (2) embedded by vibration or by percussion comprising the steps of: a. arranging at least two sheets (2), each sheet (2) being provided with position adjustment means with respect to a connection element (5) between the sheet (2) itself and a connector (3) between the sheet (2) and upright (1); b. arranging a connector (3) between the sheet (2) and upright (1), adapted to be integrally connected to said upright (1) and provided with position adjustment means with respect to a connection element (5) between the sheet (2) and the connector (3) itself; c. arranging at least one connection element (5) between each sheet (2) and the connector (3), each connection element (5) being provided with first position adjustment means, adapted to adjust the position thereof with respect to the sheet (2) and second position adjustment means, adapted to adjust the position thereof with respect to the connector (3); d. arranging a centering system (4) for the sheets (2), which can be associated operationally with an embedding machine; e. embedding said sheets (2) into the ground by vibro-embedding or by percussion, with the aid of the centering system (4); f. positioning the connector (3) in the design position, adjusting the relative position between: —each sheet (2) and each connection element (5) by means of said position adjustment means of the sheet (2) and said first position adjustment means of the connection element (5); —each connection element (5) and the connector (3) by means of said position adjustment means of the connector (3) and said second position adjustment means of the connection element (5); g. locking such positions. The present invention also relates to a corresponding kit and to a centering system for sheets 2 adapted to be vibro-embedded or embedded by percussion.
STRUCTURAL SUPPORT AND STABILIZATION ASSEMBLIES AND METHODS FOR INSTALLING SAME
A pier assembly for supporting a structure has a vertically oriented central axis and includes a plurality of horizontally spaced apart elongate members disposed in the ground and arranged about the central axis. Each elongate members directly contacts the ground. Each elongate member has a length-to-width ratio greater than 10.0.
DOUBLE EDGE UNDERGROUND BASE FOR STATIC STRUCTURE
An underground base configured for supporting an above-ground static structure that has a pair of plates each having a distal end, a proximal end, and a body portion between the distal end and the proximal end. The pair of plates are connected to each other to define a box section and a pair of flanges extending outwardly from opposing vertices of the box section. The base further has a plurality of brackets each connected to one of the plates at the proximal end, a base plate connected to the plurality of brackets, and an adjustment plate connected to the base plate via one or more adjustment fasteners. The adjustment plate is movable relative to the base plate via the one or more adjustment fasteners to adjust an orientation of the adjustment plate relative to the base plate.
