UTILITY COVER
A cover for an underground enclosure may include an upper surface comprising a pattern of bosses, a first slot and a second slot disposed on the upper surface, a lower surface opposite the upper surface. A first reinforcement member may be coupled to the lower surface. The first slot may extend into the first reinforcement member, and a second reinforcement member may be coupled to the lower surface and aligned with the first reinforcement member. The second slot may extend into the second reinforcement member. The cover may be configured to be lifted by the first slot and the second slot.
Utility cover
A cover for an underground enclosure may include an upper surface and may include a pattern of bosses, and a first slot and a second slot each disposed on the upper surface. The cover may also include a lower surface opposite the upper surface. A first rib or reinforcement member may be coupled to the lower surface. The first slot may extend into the first rib or reinforcement member. A second rib or reinforcement member may be coupled to the lower surface and aligned with the first rib or reinforcement member. The second slot may extend into the second rib or reinforcement member. The cover may be configured to be lifted by the first slot and the second slot.
Extruded fiber reinforced PVC grooved pile
A pile is comprised of a pipe, i.e., a tube or hollow cylinder of annular cross-section, with a coextensive internal reinforcement comprised of a plurality of intersecting walls forming a plurality of vertices. Each vertex intersects the pipe. Adjacent intersections are evenly spaced around the annular cross-section. The pile is comprised of a blend of PVC and 20 to 50% (pbw) chopped strand glass fibers. A groove is cut into the pile adjacent to an end for frictional retention in a sea bed.
Landscaping walls, systems and methods
Landscaping walls, systems and methods of manufacturing and installation of such walls include in aspects a fiberglass based wall having a decorative front side and a back side having at least one conduit where the conduit receives a cable or fastener extending outward from both ends of the conduit to connect to a stake to be inserted into ground adjacent the wall. The conduit in one aspect is a PVC tube mounted vertically against the wall and in aspects is embedded within the wall. The conduit allows for self-adjustment of the cable while also providing solid anchoring of the wall to prevent movement. The wall and system is lightweight, good looking and easy to install.
Extruded frictionally-enhanced reinforced pile
A pile is comprised of a pipe, i.e., a hollow tube or hollow cylinder, with a coextensive internal reinforcement comprised of a plurality of intersecting walls. The pile is comprised of a blend of a thermoplastic and 20 to 50% (pbw) pelletized chopped strand glass fibers. The outer surface includes a co-extruded cap stock that is relatively smooth and exhibits a relatively low coefficient of friction. The internal structures exhibit roughness, bumpiness and a relatively high coefficient of friction for an extruded plastic. A groove may be formed in the pile adjacent to an end for resistance to uplift.
FOUNDATION FOR A WIND TURBINE WITH FIBER REINFORCED CONCRETE
A foundation for a wind turbine tower includes a base slab, a pedestal provided on the base slab, the pedestal including attachment means for attaching the wind turbine tower; and a plurality of radial walls extending from the pedestal towards an outer edge of the base slab, wherein at least one of the base slab, the pedestal and at least one of the plurality of radial walls is made of or includes fiber reinforced concrete.
Mineral wool erosion control roll
An erosion control roll comprises a porous outer casing having an interior, a fill material within the interior, wherein the fill material comprises a mineral wool. The erosion control roll is flexible and positionable where it can provide one or more of erosion control, sediment separation, water flow diversion, and a fire barrier.
Blindside waterproofed building foundation system and method of forming same
A blindside waterproofed building foundation system and method of forming the same are provided. The system includes a lagging wall, a monolithic waterproof layer adjacent to the lagging wall, and a foundation layer adjacent to the monolithic waterproof layer. The system and method provide a monolithic waterproofing layer that can remain adhered to a foundation surface even if the materials used to construct the lagging wall deteriorates, decomposes, or moves over time.
