An apparatus and method for endwise connecting subterranean barrier members is disclosed. The apparatus includes at least two barrier members with each barrier member extending between top and bottom edges. Further, each barrier member has a side first edge having a flange defining a first connector and an opposed second side edge having a channel defining a second connector. The channel is sized and shaped to receive the flange of an adjacent barrier member in slidable interconnection therein. The apparatus further include a first side panel shaped to lie against a first side of the barrier members, a second side panel shaped to lie against a second side of the barrier members and a bridging plate located between the first and second panel members so as to bridge a gap therebetween, wherein the gap has a width corresponding to a width of the first and second barrier members. The associated method is directed toward creating the apparatus.

A pipe pile, for use in a foundation or a retaining wall, comprises a substantially cylindrical, and preferably steel, pipe body extending longitudinally between two opposite ends, the pipe body being formed of a plurality of pipe sections, interlocked or welded together end-to-end and arranged on a common central longitudinal axis between the two ends. All of the pipe sections have substantially the same outside diameter; however, two or more pipe sections have differing inside diameters, and thus a differing wall thickness, between the two ends of the pipe pile.

Pile-driving device and method for driving into a ground

The invention relates to a pile-driving device and a method for driving driving material into a ground, wherein, for the purpose of driving-in, the driving material is clamped and held by means of a clamping means on a pile-driving power unit and prior to clamping the driving material is connected by means of a flexible securing element, in particular a securing chain, to the pile-driving power unit. In accordance with the invention a pressing element is provided which is displaced relative to the pile-driving power unit towards the driving material and, in doing so, a pressing force is applied onto an upward-directed front face of the driving material.

A sheet piling filler-corner member includes one or more female couplings for engagement of male couplings of connected sheet pilings, and one or more male coupling members for engagement within female couplings of connected sheet pilings. Selective attachment of sheet pilings using the filler-corner member, and/or modification of the filler-corner member into different configurations allows the filler-corner member to universally function as a spacer or filler for adding length to a sheet piling assembly, as a corner coupling, or as a gender-change adapter between sheet pilings.
