SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PYLON ANCHORING
20230028488 · 2023-01-26 · ·

Disclosed is a pylon anchoring system in the form of an extruded strip that may be wrapped around, and affixed to, a pylon or post such that the pylon anchoring system is positioned beneath a sand line when the pylon or post is installed and set. Advantageously, when the post or pylon is installed such that the pylon anchoring strip is positioned beneath sand (or some other ground surface), a plurality of anchor elements on the system generate a counteracting force to any external force that might cause the pylon to shift from a set position.

A pair of truss legs forming an A-frame-shaped truss foundation system, wherein each truss leg is formed from a hollow lower screw anchor having threading around its lower end connected to an upper leg, wherein both the screw anchor and the upper leg have corrosion protection layers formed on their inner and outer surfaces thereof, but wherein only the screw anchor also has a second corrosion protection layer formed over the first protection layer on its outer surface only.

Helical piles with sensors and data acquisition unit

A pile for use in a ground pile system has a tubular body and one or more sensor modules attached to the tubular body. Each of the one of more sensor modules includes a sensor guard that has a perimeter and a sensor nested within the sensor guard. The sensor is recessed within the perimeter of the sensor guard to protect the sensor during installation of the pile. A data acquisition unit can be used to receive data from the one or more sensor modules. The data acquisition unit includes a solar panel array, a battery charged by the solar panel array, a modem powered by the battery, and a computer powered by the battery. The computer is configured to receive signals from the sensors and transmit the signals to a remote operation center through the modem.

GROUP ANCHOR SYSTEM, SUBSEA INSTALLATION SYSTEM, METHOD FOR USING AND INSTALLING SAME

Disclosed herein are a group anchor system, subsea installation tool and method of install such group anchor systems. The group anchor system includes a template through which a plurality of vertical piles, such as helical piles, are passed, drilled into the seabed at one end and secured to the template at the other to provide a mooring anchor for an offshore asset. The installation tool is a modular tool designed to mate with the group anchor system. Each module including drive mechanism for engaging and driving a pile. The piles may be driven simultaneously, individually, or in groups as required for proper placement and leveling. Methods of using the installation tool are also disclosed.

Automated systems and methods for drilling while driving foundation components are provided. In some cases, based on detected conditions, it may be desirable for an automated controller to change the bore diameter of a drill bit during a drilling and driving operation. The need for this may be determined based on monitoring the output of one or more sensors related to one or more corresponding performance metrics of the drilling and driving operation.
