20190100898 · 2019-04-04 ·

The present invention provides a boom system 1 for breaking and manoeuvring oversize material. The boom system 1 is mounted or attached to a vehicle. The boom system 1 comprises a base 2, a column 5 protruding upwardly from the base 2 and a boom arm 3 moveably connectable to the upright column 5 at connection point 16. A moving arrangement 4 is provided to move all or part of the upright column 5 towards and away from the base 2 so that the connection 16 between the boom arm 3 and the upright column is moveable towards and away from the base 2. A mobile crusher comprising a boom system 1 for breaking and manoeuvring oversize material is also provided.

Housing arrangement for a wearpad assembly

A housing arrangement for a wearpad may include a boom for a telescopic boom assembly; a plate for contacting at least one end of the wearpad when the wearpad is installed adjacent to the boom; and a fastener for securing the plate to a surface of the boom. Optionally, at least one of the plate and the boom includes a tab, where the other of the plate and the boom includes a slot, and where the slot is configured to constrain the tab in at least two directions when the slot receives the tab.

A common connection apparatus for coupling a power tool to an extensible arm and a power supply, the apparatus including a tool support base designed to support a tool, and a power supply support base designed to be affixed to the end of the extensible arm. The tool support base and the power supply support base each include a plurality of power connectors, positioned for engagement when the bases are aligned. The tool support base also has an alignment stab, which is received within a channel of the power supply support base. A plurality of pins are further positioned on the tool support base, to be received in apertures of the power supply support base. By this configuration, the bases may be aligned and engaged, facilitating the transmission of power from the machinery to which the arm is affixed, to the tool.

Wear pad system

A wear pad system includes a wear pad having a contact surface that contacts a corresponding contact surface of a first object. The wear pad system further includes an adjustment cap having a threaded outer surface and a boss member, having a threaded inner surface, such that the boss member is positioned on a second object and configured to guide the wear pad along a path toward the corresponding contact surface of the first object. Furthermore, the second object moves relative to the first object, the threaded outer surface of the adjustment cap engages the threaded inner surface of the boss member, and the adjustment cap is urges the contact surface of the wear pad into contact with the corresponding contact surface of the first object in response to rotation of the adjustment cap relative to the boss member.

The present invention pertains to a wear pad assembly for adjusting a position of a wear pad in a telescopic boom of a work machine, comprising a threaded boss, a threaded bolt configured for threaded engagement with the threaded boss and a wear pad connectable to the threaded bolt. The wear pad assembly further comprises locking means configured to lock the threaded boss and the threaded bolt in a first engagement position and at least a further engagement position. The present invention further pertains to a method of adjusting such a wear pad assembly, the wear pad assembly being mounted to a first telescopic boom segment such that the wear pad provides a sliding surface for a second telescopic boom segment, the method comprising the steps of unlocking the threaded bolt by disassembling at least a part of the locking means, rotating the threaded bolt from the first engagement position into the further engagement position, and locking the threaded bolt in the further engagement position by reassembling the disassembled locking means when the threaded bolt is in the further engagement position.

AUTOMATIC TRANSFER OF AN ARTICULATED BOOM OF A FORWARDER FOR HANDLING LOGS

The method for controlling a forwarder comprises storing in a control unit of the forwarder one or more predetermined paths of a head of an articulated boom of the forwarder or a grapple suspended from the head; enabling an automatic transfer of the head or the grapple along one of the paths. The enabling is carried out manually by an operator with the help of a control device; setting off the automatic transfer with the help of a predetermined motion or sequence of motions carried out manually. The method further comprises automatically transferring the head or the grapple under control of the control unit, from a current position of the head or the grapple representing a starting position of the path, along the path, and to an end of the path; stopping the head or the grapple at the end of the path; and automatically disabling the automatic transfer of the head or the grapple after reaching the stopping position.

METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR CONTROLLING A PARALLEL CRANE ON A WORKING MACHINE

A method and a system for controlling a parallel crane on a working machine by means of TCP control. According to the method, the parallel crane has a crane arm system with crane parts with a lifting arm section with two parallel arms, a rocker arm with a telescoping push arm, which crane parts are articulately mutually connected and to the working machine and can be displaced through impact of actuators and activators, which are controlled and monitored by a control system by which direction and motion speed of the parallel crane Tool Center Point (TCP) controlled by an operator using joysticks in the working machine, by applying speeds for the various crane parts of the parallel crane. A characteristic is that the speeds of the various crane parts of the parallel crane are automatically determined by the control system based on the position of the various crane parts.
