HYDRAULIC APPARATUS, AND METHOD, FOR THE RECOVERY OF ENERGY IN A OPERATING MACHINE
An hydraulic apparatus (100) for energy recovery in an operating machine comprising an hydro-pneumatic accumulator (14) able to accumulate, during the operation of lowering of an operative load (111) by an operating machine (1), a volume of oil with a fixed amount of an inert fluid, and the pre-charge pressure (Po) of which, before the beginning of the accumulation, is adjusted according to the variations of pressure of the oil inside the hydraulic cylinders (12,13) which act on the operative load (111), in such a way to accumulate the maximum hydraulic energy made available by the lowering of operating load (111), that is to maximize the average pressure of hydro-pneumatic accumulator (14) during the phase of accumulation of energy.
Seafloor Pipeline Removal System and Method
The present invention relates to a system and method for uncovering and removing pipeline from the seafloor using a subsea trenching system using pressurized water to uncover pipe, a subsea shear carried by a barge to cut lengths of the pipeline, and a grapple carried by a barge to lift cut lengths of pipeline for placement on a pipe haul and recovery barge.
Attachment for making up or breaking out pipe
An attachment is described that is configured for attachment to an arm of a piece of heavy construction equipment. The attachment is configured to rotate a section of pipe during break out (i.e. disconnection or disassembly) from another section of pipe and/or make up (i.e. connection or assembly) with another section of pipe. The attachment is configured to break the joint or torque the joint to a predetermined torque value, unthread or thread pipe, and lift the pipe under the power of the heavy construction equipment.
WORK MACHINE
A work machine is capable of rotating an attachment while appropriately supporting a load applied to the attachment. The work machine has a hydraulic cylinder attached to a body side surface of an arm and a first link rod extending along a back side surface of the arm. A second link rod is rotatably supported via a first pin extending in the width direction of a front working device, and has one end projecting toward the back side surface of the arm and the other end projecting toward the body side surface thereof. One end of the first link rod is rotatably connected to the attachment. One end of the second link rod is rotatably connected to the other end of the first link rod, and the other end thereof is rotatably connected to a distal end of a cylinder rod of the hydraulic cylinder via a third pin.
PIPE PROTECTION UNIT IN WORK MACHINE
A pipe protection unit includes: at least one inner low-pressure pipe which is a hydraulic pipe disposed along an attachment side surface which is one of a left side surface and a right side surface of a work attachment; at least one outer high-pressure pipe disposed along the attachment side surface at an outer position than the at least one inner low-pressure pipe, the at least one outer high-pressure pipe having an outer diameter larger than an outer diameter of the at least one inner low-pressure pipe; and a cover plate which is a plate that is disposed along the attachment side surface so as to be interposed between the at least one inner low-pressure pipe and the at least one outer high-pressure pipe and is supported by the work attachment, the cover plate covering at least a part of the at least one inner low-pressure pipe.
Prime mover mountable hydraulic tool and related monitoring systems and methods
A hydraulic tool with a protective box assembly including a control circuit and hydraulic pressure sensors is used to operate a prime mover. The control circuit and the hydraulic pressure sensors are used to monitor performance of the hydraulic tool. Systems and methods implemented in a cloud monitor the performance of the hydraulic tool. The systems and methods utilize data collected by the hydraulic pressure sensors, processed by the control circuit, and transmitted via an antenna from the hydraulic tool to the cloud. A first set of systems and methods detect and predict a jam condition in blades associated with the hydraulic tool using statistical analysis of the data. A second set of systems and methods detect faults associated with the hydraulic tool including hydraulic leakage, mechanical wear, and friction.
WORKING MACHINE
Provided is a working machine including first and second members, an angle detection device and a connection pin connected to the first and second members to rotate integrally with the second member relative to the first member. The angle detection device has a marker, an angle sensor and a guard member, which has a main guard portion covering the angle sensor and including an inner opposite surface opposed to an end surface of the projecting end portion and a guard-member-side engagement portion. One of the angle sensor and the marker is disposed on the inner opposite surface, the other disposed on the end surface. The first member has a first-member-side engagement portion engaging with the guard-member-side engagement portion to restrain the main guard portion from relative rotation. The guard member can contact with the connection pin to restrain the guard member from relative displacement to the projecting end portion.
Shear knife
A metal shearing tool demonstrating improved fatigue life having a body; an edge of the body having a first surface and a second surface; a cutting surface disposed between the first surface and the second surface. The edge has at least one of a curved profile surface, a radiused cutting surface, and a substantial absence of finish marks substantially parallel with the cutting surface on all surfaces of the edge.
Hydraulic cylinder for use for example in a hydraulic tool
The invention relates to a hydraulic cylinder, for example for use in a hydraulic tool, comprising at least one piston/cylinder combination composed of a cylinder body and a piston accommodated in said cylinder body and provided with a piston rod that projects from said cylinder body, wherein the cylinder body and the piston body define a first cylinder chamber while the cylinder body, the piston body and the piston rod define a second cylinder chamber, and wherein during operation the piston performs alternating forward and return operational cycles under the influence of a fluidum under pressure that is conducted to the first and the second cylinder chamber through a first and a second line, respectively, and a control valve which regulates the supply of a fluid under pressure through the first or the second line to the piston/cylinder combination.
