HYDRO EXCAVATION HEATING SYSTEM AND RELATED METHODS
A hydro excavation heating system includes an internal combustion engine having an exhaust gas stream, a heat exchanger coupled to the exhaust gas stream and configured to heat hydro excavation water by transferring heat from the exhaust gas stream to the hydro excavation water circulating therethrough, and a tank for storing the hydro excavation water. The system also includes a water pump having an inlet coupled to an outlet of the tank storing the hydro excavation water, a hydro excavation hose coupled to an outlet of the water pump, and a coupling coupled to the hydro excavation hose and to an inlet of the heat exchanger to define a closed circulation path through the system when heating the hydro excavation water, where the coupling is configured to disconnect from the heat exchanger in order to use the hydro excavation water during a hydro excavation operation.
Reciprocating impact hammer
An impact hammer for breaking a working surface, the hammer including a drive mechanism and a housing with an inner containment surface and a reciprocating hammer weight. A reciprocation cycle of the hammer weight includes an upstroke and a down-stroke, the hammer weight respectively moving upwards and downwards. On the down-stroke the hammer weight impacts a striker pin with a driven end and a working surface impact end. A vacuum chamber in the housing is formed by the containment surface, upper vacuum sealing coupled to the hammer weight and lower vacuum sealing. The hammer weight is driven toward the striker pin by the pressure differential between atmosphere and the vacuum chamber formed on the upstroke. A down-stroke vent permits fluid egress from the vacuum chamber on the down-stroke.
Method of exposing a utility buried below a roadway and a bore hole cleaning device
A method of exposing a buried utility under a roadway by cutting an access hole in the roadway, vacuuming away dirt surrounding the buried utility, and spraying at least one of pressurized water or compressed air into the dirt to loosen the dirt. A vacuum device having a vacuum nozzle, a compressed air nozzle, and a pressurized water nozzle.
Rock sifting and removing tractor attachment device
A rock sifting and removing tractor attachment device for unearthing very large rocks and sifting large rocks from soil includes a connection frame configured for coupling to a vehicle. Each of a pair of fixed arms projects forward from a bottom of the connection frame. A sifting panel includes a plurality of interconnected spaced beams. The sifting panel is pivotable relative to the connection frame between a retracted position and an extended position. The beams are positioned parallel to the connection frame in the retracted position and the beams are positioned coplanar with the fixed arms in the extended position.
Ground Thawing Device
A ground thawing device. The ground thawing device includes an insulated rectangular housing defining an interior volume with parallel sidewalls, end walls, and an open bottom. A pipe having a burn chamber connected to a first end and a second end adapted to connect to an external source of combustible gases is configured to be received through apertures disposed on the end walls. Perforations disposed along the length of the pipe allow for the combustible gas to be released in the interior volume of the housing. The burn chamber allows for an ignition source to be applied to the combustible gases carried therein. Once ignited, heat emanating from the pipe warms the interior volume and thaws the ground beneath, softening frozen soil to be excavated.

Rock claw for demolition hammer
A rock claw for attaching to a corner of a demolition hammer, the rock claw including a first wall having a first inner side surface, a second wall having a second inner side surface joined to the first inner side surface along a first intersection, and a third wall having a third inner side surface. The third inner side surface is joined to the first inner side surface along a second intersection and the third inner side surface is joined to the second inner side surface along a third intersection.
