Fluid retaining structure
A fluid retaining structure comprising an electronic leak detection and location, ELDL, system, wherein the fluid retaining structure comprises inner and outer liners (18, 16) that form electrical isolation layers of the ELDL system, wherein an electrically conductive signal layer (10, 12) of the ELDL system provides structural rigidity to the fluid retaining structure.

Flood water retention assembly
A flood water retention assembly for reducing flood damage includes a plurality of repositories that is each positioned proximate a lowland area prone to flooding. A plurality of drain conduits is each fluidly coupled to a respective one of the repositories. Each of the drain conduits is in fluid communication with a drainage area to drain the water into the drainage area. A plurality of inlet conduits is each fluidly coupled to a respective one of the repositories. Each of the inlet conduits is in fluid communication with a body of water to receive water from the body of water. A pump is fluidly coupled to each of the inlet conduits and the pump is positioned adjacent to the body of water. The pump pumps the water into the repositories when the pump is turned on. In this way the repositories contain flood waters thereby reducing flood damage to surrounding areas.

METHOD OF CONTROLLING A WATER RESERVOIR SUPPLY PUMP ARRANGEMENT AND WATER RESERVOIR SUPPLY PUMP ARRANGEMENT
A method of controlling a water reservoir supply pump arrangement determines a set value p, q, v, n of the pump arrangement based on an offset value p.sub.ref, q.sub.ref, n.sub.ref, v.sub.ref, G.sub.0 reduced by a component which is a function of a difference between an actual water level h and a predetermined water level h.sub.ref in a water reservoir. The difference is weighted by a proportional gain factor G. Further, a water reservoir supply pump arrangement is provided including at least one water pump and a control device for controlling the at least one pump.

Mixing systems for water storage tanks
A system may include a water storage tank configured to at least temporarily store an amount of water in an enclosed interior section and a mixing system. The mixing system may include an intake conduit having at least a portion positioned in the interior section to withdraw water from the lower portion of the water storage tank. A pump system may have an intake section and a discharge section, the intake section being coupled to the intake conduit. A discharge conduit may be coupled to the discharge section of the pump system. A discharge fixture may be positioned in the interior section and may include a plurality of discharge holes configured to spray water from the discharge conduit into the water storage tank so as to mix at least a portion of water inside the water storage tank.
