A waste system is disclosed. In some embodiments, the waste system includes a vacuum cell, a flexible waste container, and a vacuum source. The flexible waste container may have at least one flexible membrane at an interface between the flexible waste container and the vacuum cell. The vacuum source may be configured to suction air out of the vacuum cell to generate a negative pressure in the vacuum cell. The vacuum source discharge is generally odorless as it is separated from the waste. This odorless discharge can enter occupied aircraft compartments. The negative pressure in the vacuum cell acts on the flexible waste container to generate a (second) negative pressure in the flexible waste container. The negative pressure in the flexible waste container acts on an interface between a toilet and the flexible waste container to pull waste from the toilet into the flexible waste container.

A side-opening sleeve valve having an inner cylindrical barrel with a shaped opening through the wall, an outer cylindrical barrel having shaped opening through the wall, where the barrels are co-annular and rotatable, and a means for rotating the inner barrel relative to the outer barrel between a first open position where the shaped openings overlap to form a side opening into the sleeve valve, and a second closed position where the shaped openings do not overlap. A side-opening valve is used in pigging fluid flush system for a water-less toilet, where a toilet bowl empties into the side opening of the side-opening valve when opened. When the side-opening valve is closed, a pig cleaning system pushes the waste in the side-opening valve to a sewage system.

Portable body waste collection and sanitation system

The disclosure relates to a portable waste collection and sanitation system designed to handle liquid and solid waste, and while conserving water and minimizing odors. The sanitation system is also designed with modular components adapted for in-home installation, where the system can be quickly disassembled and relocated as needed, such as for moving the components to a new location based on environmental conditions.

The commode unit 102 further comprising a pull doors 126a, 126b; a commode 144 connected with a back plate 128 arranged on a wheel base 124, the commode 144 being connected with a soil pipe 130 and two or more telescopic rails 129 for enabling the forward movement of the commode unit 102; and a handle 125 to pull the commode 144.

The bowl includes a wall dividing the bowl into a first region configured to receive liquid waste and a second region configured to receive solid waste. The system also includes a first line in fluid communication with the first region to transfer the liquid waste from the first region, and a second line in fluid communication with the second region to transfer solid waste from the second region. A storage tank is coupled to the first line such that the storage tank is configured to receive the liquid waste from the first region via the first line.
