Drain protector

A drain protector having a flexible adsorbent pad, a raised insert, and a cover is described. The pad and the insert each includes aligned apertures. The raised insert is positioned over the flexible adsorbent pad or within the aperture of the flexible adsorbent pad. The cover is connected to the flexible adsorbent pad, a raised insert, forming a space over the insert. The drain protector is made from adsorbent material for blocking sediment, collecting contaminants and filtering water into a drain. The cover of the drain protector reinforces the sheet and insert to protect against damage from traffic over the drain protector.

Elevator trench drain

A trench drain includes a trench, a grating seat and a grating hingedly connected to the trench. The trench has a base wall with peripheral side walls extending upwardly therefrom and an outwardly-extending peripheral flange. The grating seat is configured to receive the grating. The peripheral side walls of the trench have a pair of opposing elongated slots formed therein and the grating has a pair of posts on opposing ends thereof. Each of the pair of posts on the grating are received in a respective one of the pair of opposing elongated slots of the trench to establish an axis of rotation.

FILTRATION APPARATUS FOR USE WITH DRAINAGE STRUCTURES AND METHOD FOR INSTALLING THE SAME

A filtration apparatus for use with drainage structures and a method for installing the same are provided. The filtration apparatus has a first grate and a second grate, which, when installed and secured together, establish a filtration barrier between the inlet and bottom of a drainage structure for filtering stormwater runoff entering the drainage structure. The first grate and second grate are secured to internal walls of the drainage structure via anchoring members. The anchoring members allow each of the grates to rotate to facilitate transition of each grate from a hanging to a suspended position. A connecting member secures the first grate and the second grate together so that the grates bisect the cavity of the drainage structure.

ELEVATOR TRENCH DRAIN

An elevator trench drain includes a trench and a drain passageway. The trench has a base wall with peripheral side walls extending upwardly therefrom to define a trench volume therein. The drain passageway extends downwardly from the base wall of the trench and places the trench volume in fluid communication with a lower opening of the drain passageway. The drain passageway has a first section proximate the base wall defining a first cross-sectional area and a second section distal the base wall defining a second cross-sectional area. The second cross-sectional area is less than the first cross-sectional area and this reduction in cross-sectional area produces a head pressure that increases the flow out of the lower opening.

The trench has a base wall with peripheral side walls extending upwardly therefrom and an outwardly-extending peripheral flange. The grating seat is configured to receive the grating. Each of the pair of posts on the grating are received in a respective one of the pair of opposing elongated slots of the trench to establish an axis of rotation.

Safety grating for riser of a septic tank

A safety grating has an arch shape cross section and is useful within a riser having a frusto-conical shape wall which riser is attached to a septic tank or another structure. The grating comprises a hub and radially extending arms, one or more of which is rotatable relative to the hub length at a hinge joint, to decrease the size of the grating and enable installation of the grating by passing the grating a smaller end opening of a riser.

A drainage grating includes a grating disposed on a drain, a moving panel disposed at an upper portion of the grating and configured to discharge water to the drain based on moving up and down according to a hydraulic pressure of water. The moving panel is configured to block introduction of foreign substances into the drain and facilitate cleaning or management of the drainage grating. The drainage grating is configured to be at least partially removed from a support installed at the drain to provide a sufficient drainage space in a rainy season or in heavy rain.
