Toilet flap valve assembly
A toilet flap valve assembly includes a band that is comprised of a resiliently bendable material thereby facilitating the band to be formed into a closed loop that is positionable in a trap of a toilet bowl. A flap is movably attachable to the band when the band is formed into the closed loop. The flap is foraminous to pass liquid therethrough and the flap is normally positioned in a closed position having the flap closing the closed loop. The flap is only openable in a direction of flow in the trap to inhibit an animal from entering the toilet from a sewer line. The flap is urgeable into an open position in the direction of flow in the trap to facilitate solid waste to flow through the trap when the toilet is flushed.

System to deter rodents from accessing a pipe system
A rodent deterrent system for a pipe system, the pipe system including a T-junction and a midsection riser. The deterrent system for the T-junction includes a first mesh screen configured to surround a vertical portion of the T-junction and a second mesh screen configured to surround a horizontal portion of the T-junction. Also, the deterrent system for a perforated riser includes a mesh wrap sleeve configured to surround the midsection of the riser. Alternatively, the riser midsection sleeve can be lengthened so that the second mesh is not needed as the lengthened sleeve also performs the same function as the second screen.
Removable Catch Basin Filter Insert and Lifting Apparatus
A removable catch basin filter insert includes a filter container is fitted into a catch basin in the ground at the location where the stormwater exits the gutter and enters the stormwater sewer system. The removable catch basin filter provides pollution capture from stormwater while being easily cleaned. A hinged cover is included at the top of the filter insert to allow the captured pollutants to be evacuated through the use of a vehicle or being tipped nearly upside down by a mechanical arm. A hinged trap door is included at the bottom of the filter insert to allow captured pollutants to be evacuated through the bottom of the device and into a container. By capturing the pollutants with the removable catch basin filter insert before the pollutants enter the mainline storm drain system, clean storm drain systems are provided allowing for cleaner waterways.
Valve
The present invention provides an in-line valve particularly suitable for draining facilities to avoid odour penetrating habitable spaces or backflush of drainage liquids. The in-line valve comprises a body, preferably made of two engageable parts, an inset and a duckbill valve. The insert is located within the valve body and surrounding the duckbill valve. The insert funnels liquid from the valve inlet to the valve outlet, so that puddling in the valve body is avoided and therefore no water is accumulated, which could lead to odours or microorganisms proliferation.
