A sewer cleaning device has a rinsing hose, to which pressurized water is applied, which is stored on an assigned storage reel, and which passes through a transportation apparatus adjacent to the storage reel. A manner of operating, which protects the rinsing hose, is achieved by providing a reel arrangement, around which the rinsing hose is wrapped at least once, having two redirection reels arranged laterally adjacent to one another in the radial direction, which are offset in relation to one another in the axial direction by at least the thickness of the rinsing hose and of which at least one redirection reel is arranged tilted about an axis of symmetry, which perpendicularly intersects the axes of the two redirection reels, so that during each complete wrap around the reel arrangement forming the transportation apparatus by the rinsing hose, a pitch of the path assigned to the rinsing hose results.

Intake nozzle for suction hose

An intake nozzle fits onto the suction hose of a vacuum pumper truck. The nozzle comprises a tubular housing and the rotor within the housing near the intake end. The rotor includes a hollow cylindrical canister and spiral vanes on its exterior. Ambient air enters an air tube, penetrates the side of the housing and supplies ambient air to the interior of the canister. The air exits through outlet ports into the liquid waste as it moves past under vacuum. The injected air reduces the density of the liquid waste, speeding up the pumping process and reducing the incidence of blockages.

Sewer equipment cleaning systems and methods of use are described. The sewer equipment cleaning systems may include an additive delivery system having multiple additive tanks and an additive tank pump configured to deliver additive into a wash system residing on a sewer inspection vehicle (SIV). The SIV is typically equipped with an inspection camera and one or more cables connecting the camera to the SIV. The wash system may be used for rinsing contaminants from the camera and cables upon their withdrawal from a sewer system. The additive delivery system can be plumbed into the SIV wash system in order to deliver additives, which may include surfactants or disinfectants, to water from the wash system, without adulterating water in the wash system water tank.

A pump-storage device comprises a treatment container including an interior separated by a partitioning board into an upper chamber and a lower chamber intercommunicating with the upper chamber via a first intercommunication port. An inlet intercommunicates with the upper chamber. A second intercommunication port intercommunicates the lower chamber with an outside. A first control valve controls intercommunication between the upper and lower chambers. A second control valve controls intercommunication between the upper chamber and a gas suction source. An actuation rod extends through the first intercommunication port. A first fixing block, a second fixing block, and a third fixing block are mounted from top to bottom in sequence on the actuation rod. An upper stop plate is disposed between the first and second fixing blocks. A lower stop plate is disposed between the second and third fixing blocks. The upper and lower stop plates are elastically supported.

Ground tank cleaning method and system

A large bore mobile vacuum system is used with special large bore vacuum adapters to enable a method and system for cleaning ground tanks used to store wastewater. The ground tank cleaning method and system may be safer and more efficient that conventional methods by enabling a human operator to physically remain outside of the ground tank, while preventing the contents of the ground tank from being exposed to the environment during the ground tank cleaning.

Embodiments of the present invention include a hose handling system having a hose guide plumbed via a wash line to a fluid delivery device. The hose guide includes a pulley installed on a frame member, and a spray nozzle adapted to dispense a wash mixture. The hose guide is adapted to guide a hose as the hose is inserted into or withdrawn from a manhole, with the hose traversing the pulley. The wash mixture can be delivered through a wash line to the hose guide, which sprays the wash mixture on the hose in order to reduce or eliminate gross contamination or microbial contamination on the hose. The wash mixture typically, but not necessarily, has a freezing point below 32° F. and includes: a quaternary ammonium compound, an alcohol or glycol, an alcohol ethoxylate, and a fragrance.
