Method and apparatus for cleaning large pipes, such as storm drain conduits
Apparatus and a method for cleaning accumulated sediment from storm drain conduits and other large-diameter conduits. A nozzle assembly is arranged to deliver a high-volume flow of water at a pressure high enough to loosen sediment from the interior of a conduit and to propel the nozzle assembly and an associated nozzle feed hose upstream within a conduit being cleaned. Water from the nozzle assembly flushes the sediment downstream and is then collected, partially cleaned, and reused in the nozzle assembly. Mud and clay may be left in the water to increase its specific gravity and viscosity. A self-contained portable and mobile system includes a tank and apparatus for removal of high concentrations of entrained or suspended solids, and a pump and conduits for delivering a high-volume flow of water, containing quantities of suspended solids, to the nozzle assembly.
Drain pipe cleaning device and method of cleaning
The invention relates to a device and a method for cleaning a drain pipe or a pipe connected thereto, by ensuring the formation of successive distinct water waves flowing in the pipe, with or without additive(s).
Water Flow Accelerator
A water flow accelerator comprises: a water pump; a draining pipe; and an injection annulus having an annular cavity. A water outlet of the water pump is in communication with the annular cavity. The injection annulus has a slot. The slot communicates the annular cavity with an external environment. The draining pipe is connected to a water inlet of the water pump.
Septic sensor sprayer
A septic sensor sprayer, including a rod, a hose attachment portion disposed at a first end of the rod to receive an external hose to be removably fixed thereto, such that the hose attachment portion receives water from the external hose, and a rotatable head disposed at a second end of the rod to rotate upon receipt of water from the rod.
System for flushing a conduit
A system for flushing a conduit having an inlet, an outlet, and at least one flow restricted outlet between said inlet and said outlet. There is a pump operative to periodically be turned on and off for pumping a liquid from a liquid source to the inlet, a pressure pulse being generated when the pump is turned on. A hydraulically actuated indexing valve has an inlet connected to the second outlet end of the conduit, the indexing valve including a valve element assembly indexable between a plurality of indexed positions in response to a plurality of pressure pulses, wherein in at least one of the indexed positions, return flow from the second outlet end of the conduit flows through the outlet of the valve to increase flow rate through the conduit.
MULTI-DIELECTRIC COAXIAL PUSH-CABLES AND ASSOCIATED APPARATUS
Coaxial video push-cables are disclosed. One embodiment includes a central conductor and a multi-dielectric stack of multiple concentric tubular layers disposed around the central conductor having one or more structural layers and one or more impedance tuning layers where the thickness of materials of each layer are selected to provide a pre-defined elastic modulus and electromagnetic impedance, an electromagnetic shielding layer, and a jacket enclosing the shielding layer, multi-dielectric stack layers, and central conductor.
Vehicle for cleaning sewers
In a sewer cleaning vehicle is provided having a container for the water required for cleaning the sewer and/or the sludge obtained during cleaning of the sewer, and an extension arm which is liftable and lowerable and/or rotatable about a vertical axis and which is accommodated on the container for the manipulation of a flushing hose which can be supplied with compressed water and which can be inserted into the sewer. A suction hose with a suction draft can be lowered into the sewer. At least one further working device which is provided for working the sewer and which can be manipulated by the extension arm is carried along on the vehicle and can be loosely accommodated on an associated retaining device provided on the vehicle side and can releasably be coupled to the extension arm when required by an associated coupling device.
Vehicle-Mounted Hose Reel With Pivotal And Traversing Capability
A combination vehicle (10) for cleaning a sewer includes a water jetting system (12) with a frame (34) mounted to a first end (38) of the vehicle (10) and horizontally spanning substantially the width thereof, and a slide carriage (36) operatively engaged with the frame (34) and slideable therealong. A hose reel frame (28) pivotally connects to the slide carriage (36) and is pivotal about a vertical axis, and supports a hose reel (30) that is rotatable about a horizontal axis and configured to support a hose (32). The hose (32) operatively connects to a water jetting source (46) to supply pressurized water for use in cleaning the sewer. A controller (44) operatively connects to the hose reel frame (28) and is operable to move the slide carriage (36) along the frame (34), and also to pivot the hose reel frame (28) relative to the vertical axis, thereby to enhance safety and maneuverability in locating the hose (32) in a desired position for cleaning a sewer.
Side-opening sleeve valve
A side-opening sleeve valve having an inner barrel with a shaped opening through its cylindrical wall having a longer size along the axis of the inner barrel, and a co-annular outer barrel having shaped opening through its cylindrical wall having a longer size along the axis of the outer barrel. The inner barrel is rotatable relative to the outer barrel between a first open position where the shaped openings overlap to form a side opening into the sleeve valve, and a second closed position where the shaped openings do not overlap. The side opening has an effective axial opening size and an effective lateral opening size in a ratio of at least about 2:1. The side-opening valve is useful with water-less toilet that can empty into the side-opening valve when opened, and when closed, a pigging fluid flush system pushes the waste in the side-opening valve to a sewage system.
Water level monitoring for multiple water tanks of sewer cleaning vehicle
A sewer cleaning vehicle includes a monitoring device for detecting a water level in a plurality of water tanks using a sensor engaged with the water tanks. The vehicle can present to an operator the water level together with operational conditions of the vehicle. The vehicle can continuously fill the water tanks based on the water level, and inform the operator of the water tanks having a water level lower than a user-configurable threshold.
